Football season is here, which means it's time for dip! One of my favorite dips, believe it or not, is hummus. Once you see how easy it is to make, you'll never go back to store-bought. Enjoy the free recipe below hummus for the win!
Hummus Recipe
1 can chickpeas
1/4 cup tahini
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 tbls garlic paste
1/2 tsp ground cumin
2 tbsp olive oil
2-3 tbsp cold water or aquafaba
1 tbsp salt
Paprika and avocado oil for topping
1. Combine olive oil, garlic, cumin, and 1/2 tsp salt with whipped tahini and lemon juice. Process for 30 seconds to 1 min scrape the sides, blend for another 30 seconds.
2. Add half the chickpeas, process for 1 minute, then add the rest and blend until smooth, 1-2 minutes.
3. If too thick, add 2-3 tbsp cold water or aquafaba until you reach the desired texture. Taste and adjust seasoning. Serve with a drizzle of olive oil and a sprinkle of paprika, and the rest is history.
