Hi great job and thanks so much for this video! I just got the same one and the instructions recommend the mounting bracket should have 3 screws for that length. I wanted to know how well had this closet held up with just the two screws? Because I can attach to two studs but not 3, so the third would have to be a wall anchor. I don’t have an anchor at the moment so I was wondering if you would day it is safe to go without it

Hi! Yes I saw the instructions said that too. I would say you should ALWAYS follow the instructions 😉. In our case, we couldn’t get the third into studs, and felt confident there will be no kids climbing this and no tipping hazard. If you feel it’s an issue, you can mount a cleat across the back wall. Ensure the cleat goes in as many studs as possible. Then mount your bracket into the cleat. Best bet- you can call ikea because their customer service is fantastic.

I'd love to try this out but I know nothing about building or DIY. What did you patch the hole with? Is it necessary to get a stud finder? Thank you for your videos.

Yes, you need a stud finder to anchor the cabinet to the wall. You can patch holes with drywall putty

How long was the closet? Mine is 54.4 inches, so I'm thinking to cut the side rods down. Great video!

Ours was something similar. You can’t cut the rods that come with this system as they are metal which is why I used wood dowels

If you use a pipe/tubing cutter you can shorten the outer rod to make it fit your closet. I just installed this very same closet system in a closet that was 2” shorter than the minimum recommended width. You’ll need a file to smooth out the burrs left from cutting the rod but it can be done.
