I wish you guys would do a whole series of videos on your project's instead of 2 or 3 videos. Perkins Builder Brothers does a good job on their channel that way and now they have over a million subs. Im sure it takes a lot to edit and film but i never see your project's from start to finish. Get some of your clients before and after reactions, always nice to see a happy customer.

I love the Perkins brothers! We usually do 6-10 videos per project….i worry if we do more than that they will get boring. They are building whole houses so they have so much more to show. I’ll have to make sure I put each project in a playlist so it’s easier to follow and see all the videos!

@THEpremieroutdoor never boring, actually I learned alot from you guys and enjoy your channel. I'd like to know more about decking types, the good bad and ugly pretty much. We're looking to do a patio and deck combo and right now we're looking at Timbertech. Pricy but the wifey likes one of the colors with a stone you guys used, I think charcoal was the color for the border and a gray stone. Any who more to come but when we see you using it and the final product she wants it. Thanks for what you guys do and tell Ant to go on vacation, he's getting grumpy in his old age. Lol

Thank you for completely validating the way I built the ground-level tier of my deck in 2019! So many people said I was crazy with that approach. LOL. I graded the stone base to level, lightly compacted that, and built on top of it, and it’s solid AF to this day! As always, great video!

First one I built like this was in 2016 and it has held up great!

Good looking deck, you guys do good work. Don’t have to worry much about the wood resting on ground? Would it be better to elevate wood an inch or two or is that just excessive overkill? Thx and great job as always, subscribed

Appreciate it man! The biggest thing is keeping the wood from sitting in the moisture…by using the 3/4” clean stone water drains right through it and it won’t be sitting in moisutre

So cold for deck building man, but as always, you guys make it look so easy. Can't wait for spring!

What brand coats are you rockin?

@THEpremieroutdoor Fuckin a, nice man! They look quality made and warm. I thought at first they were Pendleton. But Pendleton is hit or miss these days with a ridiculous price tag either way . I love that they're from Costco. lmao. Keep Crushing 🤙

I bought the black one this year and the other one last year, held up great and was only $29!
Aren't you so glad Anthony didn't stand up when he said you better watch your f#$@ing mouth. Lol, he might be in winter clothes, but I'm sure he can still move if he wants to. POV, this is looking beautiful. Great job. Great working crew . I am surprised I haven't heard anyone say work faster the heat is in the tools.

Removing stone and soil to get to the right elevation is the always the hardest part of the job. The other option (In the cold) would have been to grade the stone to 1+" below then add stone after the thing is bolted together. Maybe the addition of sleepers to make up the gap. It's easier to move material that way.

Very true! It’s definitely easier to raise it up than it is to get it lower

Probably ok, but not a fan. You could get expansion/contraction, frost heave , etc. This could be an issue at transitions such as area over concrete and pool deck. 1/2" settlement after thaw could put uou out of 3/8" variance on stairs. An extra 2 hours with the excavator and a few yards of concrete would give you a standard foundation with posts bearing below frost line. I'd also recommend drainage. The lot should slope away from the house, you just leveled it. You put in a shallow 6" french drain that will allow water flow to the house. Interesting though.
