Do you like to fish faster or slower during the fall?

Cooler evenings and not sweating my ass off, I'm all for it.

Some cooler temperatures would really be nice!

Best explanation I've seen yet. This video is a great starting point for anyone having a hard time fishing in the fall.

I like fishing slow year round, especially in the fall. My favorite bait is a 3/8 small body Cabin Creek Salty spider. I concentrate rocks and lay downs, even stumps. Joe in Kentucky.

Fishing slow and steady can get a lot of bites!

The nights here have gotten pretty cool. First frost isn't too far off. Gonna fish all I can before it gets too cold 🥶

Wow an eye opener, I love to fish UL, and I was coping with wind and big bow in my 10 pounds braid, so for windy will use mono and crankbaits

Light braid just blows all around in the wind!

It's been really windy lately. Fishing a light setup is really hard so I've been using a shaky hef and a bigger ned head.

Sometimes just going a bit heavier can make a huge difference!

I used braid with flouracarbon for years. Then, one day, while wading a creek, I found myself catching 30 fish on very light tackle 6lb monofilament. I got home ripped all the line off 7 reels. Loaded the baitcasters with 10 lb monofilament, the spinning reels with 8 lb monofilament. No trouble in wind, rain, or snow, don't have to worry about my line having memory, flouracarbon is notorious for that looks like a slinky on the water. A friend of mine had a jingle for it, won't sink if it's kinked. Joe

I fish a medium retrieve, but to answer your question, i have to say I fish slow since I'm using soft plastic. Even a fluke i reel in at a medium steady retrieve. Joe

They are definitely grouped up tight right now. Found a spot the other day that my son and I caught almost all our fish on in one tiny area. The rest of the day, not much at all.

The bass are schooled up in my area as well. Drifted down the bank for about 45 minutes without a bite, then got 3 fish on 3 casts next to a clump of timber in the water. Hopefully there will be fish there again when I head back out!

I like fishing laydowns with shakey heads or t rigs the most but I'll break out the crankbaits, paddle tails and top waters in the fall and fish faster.

I love a lipless crankbait in the fall, but I'm always ready with my good ol dropshot if the wind dies down,or the bite slows.

I always fished the same two spots but now I always try to keep moving. Instead of waiting for the fish to come to me, I try to go to the fish.
