The lesson content is great but its been 3 weeks and almost 3 hours of lesson content since the last time we saw you actually play golf. The journey to scratch isn't just about endless swing lessons, it's also about your experience and progress on the course and we want to see that too!

Idk man, I respectfully disagree. My swing coach said it could take from a couple weeks to months to truly dial in swing changes or else you start seeing old habits creeping back again especially for beginners.

I like what Bryson said about people who say dumb crap like "Dont *think* to much it will make it worse". He said, "The problem is not overthinking; its that most people think about the wrong things". These are HALL OF FAME coaches bro; don't waste your time trying to arm-chair coach Jerome. It aint gonna work. He's going to listen to his coaches, not you.

@@WigganNuG yeah but your forgot the part where is also a KZbinr putting out content. He’s been golfing 7 months now and played like 4 rounds of golf. The swing is important but course management plays a huge part in golf and you don’t learn that on the mats.

as everyone else said, theres a point of diminishing return with swing lessons and turf mat sessions. I personally think you are at the point where swing lessons are starting to have negative value because now you're thinking about it too much. You're athletic enough to break 90 with the swing you currently have AND with no driver. You just need a coach to walk you through course management because end of the day, course management shaves more strokes at your skill level than constant miniscule swing mechanic tweaks. just go out there and have fun bro.
@JeromeRufin Жыл бұрын
I’ve already broke 90 :) I’m going through a swing change right now and we are developing me for the long term. 5 years down the road not to score better this weekend or the next

@@JeromeRufinAfter you replied on a video saying you hit a ball that wasnt even yours and that you found 400yards from the tee box, I find it hard to believe you broke 90 already. Also you barely seem to know the rules at times. Too many weird edits and counting of strokes on your videos. It would be cool to follow your real progress.

Wow - this guy is the first guy who really brakes down how important the shoulders are and how to move the lower body independent from the upper body, to effect the in to out ball path. Having said that it seems extremely complicated and something I don't know if I can accomplish - without professional help.
@rob5333 Жыл бұрын
First year of golf for me and generating power through the body is by far toughest thing, I have fun putting, chipping and half swinging through rounds but whenever I full swing, like off a tee box that's when I start thinning it or chunking it trying to get extra momentum with the body and everything likely getting out of sequence, it's very frustrating.

When will we have clubs that the head swivels to automatically square up the head at impact.
@takarafx Жыл бұрын
Nice vieeo!! Jerome, you might want to read Ben Hogan’s book if you haven’t. Today’s lesson is about changing plane on downswing. I am still not sure if changing plane (tilting shoulder) should be done intentionally, or it will go naturally if you move your hip first as Ben Hogan said. Could you ask that to one of the HOF coaches?
@JeromeRufin Жыл бұрын
Yup we are mainly working on the lower body as that is the root. We aren’t trying to intentionally do shoulder tilt but can be a feel for some people :)

Every coach is saying something different. One says ball forward, and top of club points to belly button. This guy says ball back, top of club 2" left of belly button. One coach says don't tilt shoulders at start of downswing. This coach says tilt. Difficult to progress with so much conflicting advice. That said, despite all of the varying advice, your swing is looking a lot better.

Talking about out-to-in for 15 minutes, but you can’t see the ball flight in the cage (does it fade/ slice?), nor do they use a launch monitor to check the actual path. I don’t know what he’s getting out of these lessons. Just putting more theory on top of theory.

There's a 2-time major champion that learned in the exact same place, so it might work out for him ok. I bet he's still hitting a regular range.

I don't know - I get nothing out of watching him play mediocre golf. I also agree that getting endless lessons - without seeing results- is hard to watch. I think the best videos were when he plays 9 holes with his coach - and gets immediate breakdown of his pre-shot and post-shot analysis.
@TheThirdErnest Жыл бұрын
@@peterrutkowski8172 this why people say the best practice is never at the range. its a whole different mentality when you are on a course. 9 holes with coach is absolutely the best way to go
@sandyr5195 Жыл бұрын
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: get off the mat! Anyone can hit good shots off the mat. Get on the grass. Also, find one coach instead of multiple coaches and stop with playing golf swing and start playing golf. I also agree with the commenter before me: Watching you work on your golf swing is boring as hell.
@nativenosmoke2256 Жыл бұрын
Great advice! Your just saying what everyone’s thinking
@rob5333 Жыл бұрын
So true, as a beginner you will be hitting slightly fat off the mat and think you are hitting them pure. Then you go out to the course, do the same thing and you hit the ball 10 feet and get frustrated.
@WigganNuG Жыл бұрын
smh. Freakin keyboard know it all. Look guy's YOU ARE NOT HOF COACHES STOP ACTING LIKE YOU ARE. He could be hitting off your moms ass and it wouldn't matter if you have a coach that filming and watching you, they don't need to see ball flight or give two shits about perfect contact. If you stopped to actually LISTEN to the coach and what they are working on, YOU WOULD KNOW THIS.
