✨✨In this game-changing Premiere tutorial, you'll learn the fastest and easiest way to edit video and audio at the same time for podcast episodes that can go to KZbin, Spotify, and as audio-only episodes to all of the other podcast players.
Studio Steve will show you how to create a multi-cam sequence out of one shot. This will turn one shot into three shots and allow you to emphasize who is speaking.
Then he'll show you how to become LIGHTING FAST at editing video and audio at the same time, with his signature step: THE SWITCH & CUT!
And as if that wasn't enough, he will also teach you how to treat the audio professionally and add final color correction and skin softening effects.

Testimonial here - Steve's workflow works, and flows. I shot 1080p and still got good results. The one-camera hack is clever, and I think video for a podcast is the right use case for it. One note - my camera makes a new mp4 file every 20 minutes, so I had to figure out how to create a nested sequence, how to duplicate same and then re-position/re-size the clips (copy and paste attributes), and then how to create a multicamera sequence from the nested sequences. Thanks for the light Steve, I found my own way! I bought the workbook too, there are a few nuggets in there.

YES 💪Thanks so much for the testimonial. So glad you're finding it useful AND that you got the workbook. Did you check out the Tubebuddy walkthrough? Also, one thing I like to do with 1080p sequences is EXPORT them as 4k to upload to KZbin as a 4K video. I find the video quality turns out better - something about the way KZbin encodes 4K, just makes the footage look much higher quality.

Hey I have a question. What lens and camera did you use for the video your editing? When I zoom in on person who is talking its starts to get blurry and out of focus. Using a 16mm 2.8 Sony lens. Also should I set the camera to manual. Because the auto focus keeps going in out like it can't focus on two people talking
@podsoundschool
@podsoundschool 6 ай бұрын
Hey Chris, good questions. We use the 35 mm Sony lens for this video and with the auto focus we use the flexible spot setting, which creates a little square frame that you can select a very small area to keep in focus, and when there’s two of us on camera together, I will just choose one of our faces(usually Veronica’s) to focus on. It can be a struggle cropping in or zooming in, are you recording in 4K?
