Same here. Being consistent with watering is tough. The plugs take a lot of that out of the equation.

It's not a bad idea at all. I have mixed sand and milorgonite with good results.

That just means you don't have to mow as much. I don't see what the problem is. Plant some trees and shrubs, they are better than grass anyway.

I've extended that hosta bed down to compensate for the shade. The kids need some turf to play in. It's a compromise between turf for play and trees/shrubs.
