big question, did you go through a customs broker? if you didnt can you guide me on the forms/paperwork needed to get out the port? (i already have the export certificate, translation and bill of landing) my customs broker decided to ghost for no reason and my car is going to be landing next week.

@@stevegonzales527 Your gonna need all the papers they gave you when exporting your vehicle. With those papers you will need to contact a broker(one that won't ghosts you) Sad that happened but they should have gone step-by-step explaining what info you will provide them and paperwork you will sign. 1. For future reference you will need to contact the port it's arriving and ask for an arrival notice. You will have 70hrs after the vessel leaves the port to send out your info to a broker. (I too learned the hard way but they where very nice and helpful to me) 2. With your B/L you'd get a number to identify your order and pay the port. 3. Because it's late you might have to pay 5k but since it's your first time hopefully you don't have to. 4. Have your invoice, japanese papers signed and your name typed out to email the broker. Not sure if it was necessary but I sent my documents confirming that I purchased the car to the broker. I thought I did my research but there's still so much stuff KZbinrs don't talk about when exporting your vehicle. I kinda want to make a video so that others know. I'm guessing people don't give out that information so that others would work with them to get a bit of cash you know. Try contacting another broker and using the U.S. Customs and boarder Protection website(That is if you are from the USA) There you'll find a number of agents that can help you. Find one in the area where you will pick up your car. Send out an email or call them letting them know your situation and that it's your first time. Send out all your documents, a picture of your ID, SSN, and other proof of US citizenship like a passport. They'll probably ask if your running a business you could use your name as a business or simply put N/A or None.

This port and I'm sure other alike you'll need TWIC, Vest, ID, and Documents of your vehicle. Have to make sure you're car is good for customs before you can get it.
