I know this is obvious for most of us, but for the newbies that dont want to get stuck at the end, make sure you have a 17mm crows foot socket for torquing the hardline nuts.

Also if you drop one of your hpfp bolts in the engine bay. Home Depot has M6-1.0 X 25 mm plain steel cap screw bolts which are way better and stronger. But also the same spec as oem. Also Precision autoworks sends the hpfp to you with the sensor disconnected for a easier install

Did you replace the gasket to the hpfp? If so, what gasket did you use? Did you replace the bolts for the hpfp? What bolts did you use? Torque spec?

I'm sure there is no weight reduction happening since these screws still sit "somewhere" down in the engine bay. I try to minimize the weight increase by not everytime losing tools in my engine bay. But I do not always succeed :-) Great video, as usual

Do you need to do any ecu re-learn like fuel pump adaptation , valvetronic relearn etc . As I come across on the N20 engines you apparently need to make a valvetronic relearn and also camshaft need to be on the specific position when installing the fuel pump

Hey mate, I was trying to change my pump today, everything went smooth until I put the pump back and it seems the TU pump(Bosch) the spring part it’s slightly longer than my stock one, when I fit it on and fully tightened two bolts it seems not fully sealed (maybe I’m unlucky the cam at the highest position?)also the top hard pipe is slightly off not sitting flash with the pump, please help😢

Fair to assume once the pump is installed, ECU will adapt to function without issue? Currently running a Dinantronix piggy back; AA catted down pipe, and intake. I doubt I’m pushing the upper bands of what the stock HPFP is capable of. Would imagine b58tu HPFP would be more important to consider if I run high psi maps and/or more extreme tunes?

You'll need a tune, or else it won't adjust for it. I would say, moving from a piggyback and just switching to MHD/BM3 Stage 2 tune with your bolt ons you'll see a higher power increase then adding a TU Pump on your current setup.

You do not need a tune to run a tu pump. But you will not make any more power without a tune that requests more boost pressure

How much power does the TU pump allow you to make on 93, stock turbo, Catas downpipe? I currently have these mods plus an XHP trans tune on my 18 X3 M40i and was thinking about adding the TU pump or Dorsch pump. I have a pretty fast coyote, so this is my daily.

Probably around 550 to the wheels with a intake downpipe and solid tune a bigger downpipe will allow you to make more power tho

Just depends on your goals. Start with a downpipe and tune. Add ethanol if you have it available or add meth.

All you need is a downpipe and a tune. You can also add a flex fuel kit if it's available for your car and your tuning software.

no service requirements or commons leaks… bmw says it’s transmission fluid is “lifetime” however the transmission manufacture, ZF, says it should be changed every 50k miles i believe
