Amul yes he did explain that you go into safe mode which puts all the applications except for the operating system into a sleep state.then you go into settings where all of the apps are you can freely uninstall the ones that you don't want. Very simple. And if it is not an integral part of the operating system or a bona fide Google products such as KZbin..... Get rid of it !!! That means games and phony Fix-It program's and stuff like that!!! Good luck to you!!!

If it won't let you uninstall the malware. Go to Security. Then device administrators and turn off what shouldn't be there.

Great video, thank you for the simple no nonsense. Straight forward instructions. I have a question though, about the dloaded apps section that you mention. In that section of several of my phones I've found many apps that were factory installed in this section, not just my dloaded apps. Should this alarm me, or is that normal? Also, some, if not all of those apps I usually cannot delete all the way. I can only delete back to factory version of the app. Is this normal, or should I be alarmed about it?

I've got this app scanner overlay you know one of those malware apps that pretend to speed up your phone while making me watch ads. Well I can't find it. And I was thinking I could install an app blacklist, and everything that has ever been seen before new clones about where will be automatically protected and added to the blacklist. And you get the option to download it safe for example its a game you're trying to download but the blacklist thinks it's fishy, you can install it anyway without disabling the blacklist for even a second

When I go to apps in settings, I have 4 columns: downloaded, running, all and disabled. My downloaded app list is small and there's nothing there I want to delete. Its the "all" list I'm wondering about. It's huge and I have no idea what most of them are. There's a ton along the lines of "com.android. providers.bookmarks", like at least 20 that start with com.android.(fill in the blank). I found a tech website that had a list of these types of apps that were safe to either remove or disable, but I just wanted more info on that. I did disable one of them and oddly enough it's still in the same list rather than in the disabled apps list. I only have a handful of apps that I downloaded and they're all ones I use. But my storage is almost full. Help!

Shervin Chan you should install an app called "Malwarebytes" from the play store, it will scan your phone for about 5 mins and at the end it will tell you which files/apps are malware and then deletes them if you allow it to. it worked great for me

I had a problem with XDA couldn't enter safe mode kept going in to reboot cycle even in safe mode! and normal mode. eventually after 5 hours of trying I managed to delete XDA before it rebooted and then it was fine. I think I did something in its xprivacy caused an issue Samsung tablet running 442, any suggestions. If needed a place you take your phones for repairs can fix it for you... i got 18+ viruses on my outdated laptop and took it to a electronic repair store and they fixed it... they even fixed the broken screen before... they even fixed my mom's phone, and many other issues with electronics... i actually broke my laptop by accident and somehow the 18+ viruses came back or I got 18+ new ones... well I did share it with my twin brother but he started to dislike it as became outdated it is still broken...

I downloaded modded games last night so I deleted them earlier and even installed an antivirus application. It says no threats/virus found and that my device is safe from them. I then tried to deep clean to make sure some files and apps that possibly carried the virus will be deleted. Only to be surprised that after deep cleaning, my free storage became much less than before. It was 27.7 storage used before deep cleaning, and then it became 29gb used after deep clean. I'm not sure of what to do now, but I'm planning on updating my software even tho it'll be a bit laggy just to make my device safer. I hope it's the right choice

1. Reboot into safe mode 2. Install avast! ransomware removal (if you can download stuff in safe mode) 3. Put avast ransomware removal on the 1st page (the one what comes up when you unlock your phone) 4. Reboot 5. Try and get to avast! ransomware removal and scan before the ransomware comes back up Hope this helps, I've never had ransomware before so I don't know if this will work, I just decided to comment just incase it helps

I have a bigger problem whenever i open my phone it opens a random site with ads on all of my browsers , if i uninstalled all browsers it keep appearing like i don t know something like an add, if i press back is closes , it really annoying and i tried everything, factory reset, safe mode uninstall all, it s like the app entered in factory apps , it even sstarts in safemode so i might have a big problem, does anyone knows how to deal with it?

Anyone know the name of the services that constantly tries to reinstall chrome once it's been forcefully removed on android? I have set up a function that removes it the second it re-appears but I'm pretty sure it's now looping and draining battery. PS I have zero interest in re-enabling it.

One of the ways to know an app is shady is if it has way more permissions than it should. Example:A game wants to be able to delete data from your device lock the screen read call/message logs etc.

Disable half you're running processes. Then check if the virus still runs. Now do half of that list or the other half list etc. Process of elimination. Often it will have high CPU usage. Eventually you will get it down to 1 or 2 running processes. Look up the virus details and delete it. If that does not work run a root kit scanner.

Got up a popup from opera saying i got 4 viruses from adult sites and so I downloaded 360virus and fack idek if it helps. I have a problem that it's attached to a former mail account, says it knows passwords and now I can't sign in to certain websites, my computer has so-called protection, but if it's free is it really helping. I thought about a factory reset but I don't know if that will solve anything. The malware will not stop popping up in my junk mail and it seems only to be getting worse. I even deleted the accounts, they were hotmail and outlook. I don't know what's suspicious because I'm not tech savvy at all. If you think you can help, I'd really appreciate it.
