I always thought comments like this made no sense because all of those gospel singers. Yes even back then listen to other things. Rusty Goodman sang country music and would sit in on the late night show at WSM in Nashville. Kenny Hinson‘s hero was George Jones. To say that you should only listen to gospel music is just, ignorant.

Their Live stuff to me is something that I wish there was more of. I’m not talking about the stuff in the 90s with Bill. I’m talking about this stuff. Where is this from and is the full recording around anywhere? I would love to get my hands on like Board tapes. They only did two live albums, and one video that I’m aware of that was released, about 13 years ago and there need to be more of them put out there for the public.

No, it was a wig.
@wandadorsey889510 ай бұрын
When I saw this group perform in the 60’s and 70’s, Vestal’s hair was real. This group had their roots in Pentecostal churches. Back then Pentecostal women did Not cut their hair, did Not wear pants and did Not wear makeup and jewellery . A woman doing these things were considered too worldly . Of course, over the years that has changed. But some people have held to these strict standards. I was raised that way, but some churches have eased up on this stuff. I feel now, that what matters is what’s in your heart, Not how you look. Blessings
@barbaracox861310 ай бұрын
@@wandadorsey8895 Vestal said in her book that it was a wig. I have seen some pictures where the hair wasn’t so tall and I figured that was hers. She had heart surgery in 1974. She said in her book that after she got over that, she just didn’t care to mess with the wig anymore. She said she could have hidden a football in it!
