THE EASY METHOD | Attach and Release Your Pole Rig to a DACRON Connector

If you struggle like me to remove the main rig line from the Dacron Connector then use this simple technique. I learnt this method a couple of years ago and still use it today, when you struggle with your hands and eyesight it makes life so much easier!

That's brilliant I've got bad eyes myself and this means I can now get my rigs of easier. Instead of cutting the line and destroying a rig plus the wife will be happy as she won't have to sit there after every session with tweezers taking the old line off

A good explanation of the commonest way of how to connect the line to a dakron connector. Don't know why you cut the small loop though, I just leave it as a loop. Perhaps the video could have been shorter, that would have made it better. Good luck.

Just another little tip to this vid, something I picked up from a mate is …… if you are fishing really close to bushes, brambles et al is snip the tiny loop No chance then of it snagging up !!! Admittedly you’ll have to re-tie the top part of your rig but it’s better that, than seeing your rig hanging happily from a bush !!!!!!

I used to tie two loops but now I just tie a short length of line to the main loop and use that to pull the line from the dacron connector.

I have just switched to dacrons because everyone else has . Will the line not come loose on the dacron when using thicker lines ?

No, as long as the loop of the main line is pulled tight and slide it down to the end of the Dacron then you will be fine. I use 7lb main line for carp in double figures and it's fine. Hope this helps👍
