Just another little tip to this vid, something I picked up from a mate is …… if you are fishing really close to bushes, brambles et al is snip the tiny loop No chance then of it snagging up !!! Admittedly you’ll have to re-tie the top part of your rig but it’s better that, than seeing your rig hanging happily from a bush !!!!!!

You could try using a tea spoon to mix it with. I do this & you can easily get it out of the corners. As it absorbs the water it stops sticking to the spoon.

i use 1 part special g green and 1 part thatchers original riddled through a fine flour sive then mix one part to same amount water -- adjust to your consistency

I use skretting pellets to make paste, works for me

My fingers are too far gone for manual tying like that, which is why I recently bought several matchman tyer's.

Thanks for this interesting way to tie a hook Mark. I have a different method for tying hooks where they are going into a hook box with a loop on the end, but my method wouldn’t work for attaching the hook directly to the mainline/hooklength. I do have a hooktyer that I use if I need to do that though 🙂

Superb video and appreciate the time taken. I have just started tying my own paste rigs and I am glad to know I am doing it right..! Tight lines from Sandbach Anglers.

Would have been a good idea to move it forward and as this is targetted at beginners, show how it’s hooked, the rigs used and how to fish it using a paste pot. Seems like it was a half done tutorial

Thought when mixing paste it was powder to water not water to powder
