Seen other mainstream UK plumbing and diy youtube channels reviewing the TapBoost. A similar 12v based inline pump system has been around for some years developed by uk engineer Allan Wright. Deserves an honest review too. it's called the showerpowerbooster.

I’ve used the Salamander whole house pump and was very impressed. Yet to try this single outlet boost but it does look good

100% . We refuse to deal with any salamander product now until their quality improves. Atrocious customer service to boot. They seem to be investing more in getting KZbinrs to shill their products than in manufacturing quality items. And yes their reviews are reflecting this. It’s a shame as they used to be reliable products.

Important to note: the pump data sheet states a maximum head pressure of 0.5bar (or 5 metres). So whilst it might increase flow rate, it won’t improve pressure much.

I found it didn't boost that much, I was at the lower end of 1.2l / min went to just over 2l / min

Looking at the spec sheet I’d suggest not. A mains booster would probably be more a effective/ reliable option

Nope - If the mains coming in is very cold (in winter) a normal electric shower will just choke the flow down again anyway to maintain the temperature. Sorry.

Yes, however there must be sufficient natural flow/pressure to allow the electric shower to operate before installing a TapBoost. Please note, many electric showers are restrictive by their nature, and you should check with your electric shower manufacturer to see if the maximum flow rate from the shower is already being achieved. Salamander can you please get on top of your quality control and customer support. It’s doing your brand real damage within the industry. It’s become impossible to recommend your units. If you spent a little more time / money on R&D and a less on KZbinrs it may help.

There was a before and after. He turned it on, then Dylan (I assume it was Dylan) turned on the electric for the pump to kick in.
