He is so well behaved!! Mentioned in one of the Facebook guinea pig groups that I used head and shoulders when I was bathing my piggies bc of the ring worm and I got so many comments about how unsafe the shampoo was and dangerous and how I shouldn't bath my piggies even if they have ring worm because of the unnecessary stress 😐😑🙃😌 but I mean I'll always trust an organization that deals with hundreds of piggies and my piggies had no side affect except for their ring worm is gone lol

I can tell you that the stress of ring worm is worse than a bath. I am pretty sure if you handle your piggie everyday and spend time with your piggie the bath is not that bad and they get use to it.

Your guinea pig videos are my favorite to learn about taking care of my guinea pigs, Duke & Tarheel. I followed your suggestions & bought the plastic container, the imitation head & shoulders shampoo & a coconut smelling shampoo & conditioner. I was surprised they seemed to like when I was massaging & soaping them up! They also loved me holding them in a towel after their bath. Their fur is silky soft & smells so nice!!!!! I bought a Guinea pig yesterday and she looks just like Timmy ! I just put her bigger cage together this morning and bought her some treats and another little house for her to hide in. Hi Scott, I love this video. Timmy is so relaxed taking a bath. I watched this video when we got new guinea pigs and before we gave them baths for the first time. Ours are still never relaxed during baths but watching this gave me confidence. Super helpful.

He is an all around sweet little guy. He was found in a park I believe. With Mange! I made a sweater out of a sock so he wouldn't scratch himself into seizure. Dimas at the rescue is really the one who nursed him back to health, along with Saskia and the other rescue volunteers.

I know this was a couple of years ago but have you thought of putting holes a few inches from the top of the tub all around so that when the water starts to get too high it will automatically start emptying into the sink? I would think that would help with the water getting too high.

My guinea pigs never let me do the conditioner part to keep from tangling my one guinea pig has longer hair than the other one and they absolutely hate the blow dryer so I have to keep working the towel and I try not to pay them when it's cold out but you're so calming and you come to guinea pigs and they work beautifully with you I try to stay calm but I also have five kids so I can only bathe at certain times just listening to you give instructions and helpful tips and the step by steps to work through getting the guinea pig cleaned properly and situated is so calming and soothing

Hi Scott, I think you should try to wash them whithout shampoo, I bath mines only with water and they come out clean and smelling good, I do this because I wanna keep the chemical products away from them :) Love you and your channel btw ❤

Try making your voice louder than the music and other noises please. Great video, thank you. I lost a Guinea pig because I used to do all my pigs in a big batch in the tub and she got shampoo somewhere in her and it ate away and got to a blood vessel. Been doing it in the sink with a towel to make it flatter and allow water to pool slightly. This way is smarter.
