@@MattAngiono The young Swedish economist, Bjorn Lomborg, has some excellent ideas about the whole 'climate crisis' hoax; .
@MattAngiono2 ай бұрын
@geoffas I have listened to him several times, but wasn't entirely convinced. I think there are very plausible reasons to believe that climate matters immensely when it comes to ecosystems, but also that there's a lot of elite manipulation and propaganda that is used to serve their interests. I think the climate narrative was very inconvenient to the elite a few decades ago, but they've entirely reversed their position because of the realities in economics and technology. Climate went from something that would cut into their profit streams, to something that could be used for authoritarian control and further entrenching their power. I think we should be highly skeptical on both sides of such debates which makes it very hard to know where to land. The oil industry has long paid for skeptic scientists to throw shade on the issues, but now there's other powers at play too. There isn't one elite, after all. They compete with each other too. My position is that ecosystems are being destroyed in all kinds of ways that we need to resist. Climate is certainly a potential threat that needs to be taken seriously, but not at the expense of all the other issues with the environment and with us. I'm not about to say that limiting people's ability to live by making laws restricting individual's carbon use are acceptable. If anything is done in the legal framework, it needs to be aimed at corporations and the largest polluters Whatever the case, we're dealing with disinformation in all kinds of topics and it's only getting worse. Making sense of any of this isn't easy
@jacknicolssen74922 ай бұрын

Also you must have forgotten that before climate change, they were marketing it as the "ozone layer has a hole" and the sun rays are going to burn our skin, fear porn before CO2 was even a thing back then. But i guess climate change is a more suitable word for marketing since the climate is always changing legitimately and applies all the time. 24/7 fear LOL. Oh and the CO2 is causing all of this ofc (The atmosphere of Earth is composed of nitrogen (78%), oxygen (21%), argon (0.9%), carbon dioxide (0.04%) and trace gases) yes at 0.04% of the atmosphere you heard it right. Everything we do to use energy creates more heat. That's basic physics. Also, you don't sound like someone who is very familiar with ecosystems and the ideas behind collapse or overshoot. Nature is resilient by only to a point. A forest can easily become a desert if the rainfall shifts. What seems like a few degrees here and there can actually collapse entire regions' ability to grow food. In light of the ongoing global economic crisis, it is crucial for everyone to prioritize investing in diverse sources of income that are not reliant on the government. This includes exploring opportunities in stocks, gold, silver, and digital currencies. Despite the challenging economic situation, it remains a favorable time to consider these investments.

The pathway to substantial returns doesn't solely rely on stocks with significant movements. Instead, it revolves around effectively managing risk relative to reward. By appropriately sizing your positions and capitalizing on your advantage repeatedly, you can progressively work towards achieving your financial goals. This principle applies across various investment approaches, whether it be long-term investing or day trading.

This is precisely why I like having a portfolio coach guide my day-to-day market decisions: with their extensive knowledge of going long and short at the same time, using risk for its asymmetrical upside and laying it off as a hedge against the inevitable downward turns, their skillset makes it nearly impossible for them to underperform. I've been utilizing a portfolio coach for more than two years, and I've made over $800,000.

"Boomer"? He was born in 1945, for you dupes who fall for divide-and-conquer, totally made up generational labels, that makes him a "silent." So, he only missed by a year, but I hear rich people who made their fortunes in finance and/or went to elite universities who were born in the late 60s (also only missed by a few years) blaming everything on the boomers. Eric Weinstein (b.1965) comes to mind. You'd almost think there was #don'tblamemyclass(blametheirgeneration) movement. The greatest trick the rich ever pulled was putting the blame on the old. Stop being such dupes, generational labeling got pushed hard after Occupy Wall Street and almost everybody fell for it.

The GDP measures how cash based the economy is. I lived several years among substance farmers. Their quality of life was not so terrible. They didn't need money because they grew their own food. The big problem was health care which has to be a cash transaction...western pharmaceuticals, cash paid doctors, etc. The interesting thing was the sharing based economy--the instant anyone got some money, they spent it all on the people who helped them in the past or who might help them in the future.
