We just had ours at the town highway dept shop cleaned just last week. Gotta make sure that you check to see if any water has accumulated in the tank, & drain it off periodically, or it will draw water (and air), or it will puff smoke & may have to reprime the system. Very efficient burners, to say the least!

We heat our shop also with a Clean Burn CB250. We now have around 13,000 hours on it and for the most part it has been fairly reliable. I will say that are fairly maintenance intensive though. Very picky on the oil going through it and ours has a tendency to foul the igniters and fail to light or you get a delayed ignition with the associated boom and smoke out the damper. With that being said, a large shop with multiple techs working there this would not be the unit to have unless you have one guy that can babysit the unit and keep it full of oil. My dad always says the heater gets rid of the oil for us, and heat is the byproduct!!! I estimate it saves us around $1000+ a month in gas costs from WE Energies!!!!

I've worked on some of these. They need common maintenance but they're effective

They're nice if you can come up with the oil mine is older seems like a maintain it a little bit more but if you got to depend on oil from other people you wouldn't believe how many people tell me they ain't got antifreeze in it out of 100 gallons of drain 30 gallons of antifreeze out of it I think it's at $2 a gallon if you buy it now used oil and it seems like whenever I do have problems it's on the coldest day of the year but I guess that's any for us I bought an oil pump for mine too so I can just pump the oil from a toad or a drum diaphragm pump works pretty good runs on air

We had the same issue with people forgetting the antifreeze content. I also quickly found out any time, effort, and fuel spent chasing down oil makes the whole thing not worthwhile. Now that we only use our own it works much better.
