Most Americans find it hard to retire comfortably amid economy downtrend. Some have close to nothing going into retirement, my question is, will you pay off mortgage as a near-retiree, or spread money for cashflow, to afford lifestyle after retirement?

as most investing-related questions, the answer is, it depends.. my best suggestion is to consider advisory management
@larrypaul-cw9nk5 ай бұрын
Agreed, the role of advisors can only be overlooked, but not denied. I remember in early 2020, during covid-outbreak, my portfolio worth around 300k took a slight fall, apparently due to the pandemic crash, at once I consulted an advisor in order to avoid panic-selling. As of today, my account has yielded big fat yields, and leverages on 7-figure, only cos I delegate my excesses right.

So basically we're going to keep this economy going for as long as we can until it literally hits the ground and starts combusting in to flames, this will not be a depression this will be a nightmare financially for everyone because right now when the inflation spikes up like a rocket and the dollar detaches itself from normal levels we're going to be just like Zimbabwe or Germany with wheelbarrows of money for bread. I personally feel like we have maybe 4 to 5 years of somewhat economic transactions with money and debt but after 2030 I think that's when everything will falter and hit the skids. I would buy Bitcoin and buy hard assets like gold /silver as a store of value while also actively trading...The only wild card for us investors is to actively engage the market by trading, we always over complicate things when we speculate. It's not about guessing the market's next move; it's about playing it smart and steady during trading...managed to grow a nest egg of around 100k to a decent 432k in the space of a few months... I'm especially grateful to Francine Duguay, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.

@candicabral37675 ай бұрын
I have also wondered if the tipping thing is fair and reasonable? Hear me out before you attack me. So obviously a lot of tipping jobs don't pay very much. We're not talking about hundreds of thousands of dollars here. Per person I mean. But if you work in a high-end hotel. If you work in a Michelin star or just a high-end restaurant. That is not the same story. I have friends who work in both of those industries and they Make a good living. A decent living. Say they're making $60 to $75,000 a year working at a high-end restaurant. Working at a high-end hotel. I knew a couple of people who were doing Shipt at one point making 80 grand a year. So we have person a with a tipping job where 80% of their income is tips but they make $60,000. Now we have person B who works in an office and makes $60,000. Both work equally hard. But person a will only have to pay taxes on 10% of that income. The part that is not tips. Whereas person B will have to pay the taxes on the full amount. Why wouldn't everyone go get a tipping job then. If you can make the same amount of money and pay no taxes on it. If you do this why would you bother to do the other? How is it fair to the single mother who works in an office making $60,000 a year because she can't take the risk of that income not being guaranteed. Why should she pay tax when person B doesn't have to pay tax? I'm not against the idea. In fact, I think it's awesome in a lot of ways. But I think we need to look at it a little bit more before it just gets implemented and find a way for things to be a little fairer. Now it may be entirely possible that I misunderstand how this would work. So I'm not throwing it out there to be difficult. I'm throwing it out there for understanding and clarification.
