If I'm being perfectly honest...these are some of the bravest and dumbest people on earth...lol. You gotta be a bit touched to even get out in those waves let alone surf them. I was there once with 20ft swells. I've been on a Boston whaler in 40ft storm swells and the only time I've ever felt seasick...was on the North Shore just looking at the ocean! The violence of those waves. Hates of to these guys. I've done some crazy dangerous stuff for the thrill but...I ain't got the balls to go out there. Just haven't hit that level of crazy yet...lol.
