The Winter brothers were amazing and so humble. Edgar said he started playing guitar but his brother Johnny was so good that he had to learn everything else.

It was from the British show The Old Grey Whistle Test. It actually had no audience present.

If you want to see another amazing performance, check out the live version of Johnny and Edgar doing Tobacco Road.

Love your reaction! One of the great live performances is Humble Pie's "Black Coffee" from the Old Grey Whistle Test. Steve Marriott had one of the best voices in rock, both with Humble Pie and with Faces.

Great reaction to a mind blowing live Frankenstein. I saw Edgar Winter on this tour, '72 or '73, they opened for Traffic, Low Spark of High Heeled Boys tour. Edgar wSs electric. Unfortunately we got peyote spiked weed and visuals weren't up to par but sounds were other worldly at times. Great show and other hreat tunes ny EWG from Frankenstein album are "Undercover Man", Round and Round, Hangin' Around and the hit "Free Ride". We had an Alpha Phi sorority @ college so ee called it a Phi Ride. Enjoy your insightful reactions.

I am glad you enjoy the reactions. Gonna check out more from the EWG. Maybe even that terrible Scientology album I have heard about.

I think I may have requested this before but I hope you’ll react to The Beatles’ Revolution #9. Love it or hate it, you’ll truly see how experimental The Beatles were. Thanks.

Always fun to watch the jaw drop every time Edgar tops himself on this one. :-) The drummer was Chuck Ruff, who also played with Sammy Hagar. I see someone else mentioned Johnny & Edgar doing Tobacco Road (kzbin.info/www/bejne/l5eTo4lsmdGcldE), which really shows off both brothers. (The bass player later played in SRV's Double Trouble.) And I always have to point people to Dying to Live (kzbin.info/www/bejne/paGqh3qBrMSferc), which is the most beautiful song you've never heard. Just Edgar and his piano, plus some strings. That's enough recommendations for now, but just one interesting tidbit for you: Edgar won a Grammy in 2023 (yes, just last year) for Best Contemporary Blues Album; the album was a tribute to his brother Johnny, who passed in 2014.

Bass player was Dan Hartman,"I Can Dream About You" was a song he had out in 1984.He passed away at age 43 from a brain tumor in 1994.

He pitched it to Hall & Oates, and they turned it down. So he recorded it himself, and it was a big hit.

@@SaverioP Yes sir he sure did,and probably glad in the end that they turned it down,as you mentioned,it was a big hit .

I know Edgar is the "talent" but Chuck Ruff makes the song imo!
