The Edge of Night, Episode # 6380 - November 6, 1980

This is the last Proctor & Gamble AOL episode that had been broadcast. I trust you all enjoyed the series. Please provide commentary on how and what segments you enjoyed most about the run.
Emily warns April not to let the hospital know where she is. Molly calms Emily down. Later Emily stuns Draper with the news of her pregnancy. Elsewhere, Nancy confronts Kelly with the fact that she knows Giorgio was stabbed and killed before Kelly left Rome. Mike struggles to believe in Kelly's innocence re: all the stabbings. And, finally Martine decides to disobey Schuyler's orders and continue to exercise at Gavin's dance studio.

BIG mistake cancelling this show. It had such a presence and atmosphere and such rich characters with storyline potential for decades to come. It could've been also a primetime series, like Law & Order

I started watching Edge when I was 3. It was the only soap we got where I lived. I was 13 - 14 when these episodes aired. I only saw the episodes that aired in July and August, the week of Christmas and the week of Easter. My mom had Mondays off and I would run home from school on Mondays bursting through the door yelling "What happened on The Edge of Night?" It is sooooo good to have all of those missing episodes filled in. I loved every minute of Edge. Unfortunately CBC dropped Edge in the fall of 1982 so never got to see any of the last 2 years. Still hoping that someday I will.

Yes, when AOL posted The Edge of Night, they posted Another World, Texas and Search for Tomorrow. So many people I presume have downloaded their favourite Soaps. I just wanted to afford Edge fans the privilage of having these shows, since they gave me that pleasure when they became available.

What a great way to end, Emily is scary but funny, too; the way she said, "Molly, please, tell her I didn't mean all those awful things I said..."and April's reaction not believing one word--tore me up inside, so I laughed...We want more!

I loved this show and always will. I think I watched it since the 60's whenever I could.It was nice that it was on late in the afternoon for a long time. Thank you so much for sharing these. Too bad it's not on DVD.

I do have the Clown Puppet murder conclusion, in good audio quality so so video quality. I am going to be walked through the process of getting it from DVD to here shortly. I plan to continue posting the Jefferson Brown period as I already have those eposodes. Sofellow EON fans not all is lost.

Thank you for posting all of the episodes you could. It was great to watch them in their entirety. There really needs to be a convenient way for all to watch the old eps of their favorite soaps. EON should be on DVD!!! I would LOVE to see the 1982 eps when they went to the Swiss Alps and Sky tried to kill Raven.

I haven't watched all of your videos yet, but I have enjoyed every moment of them so far. My favorite storyline on your channel has been the Mansion of the Damned, but the Draper Scott Saga, despite a slow start, managed to draw me in. I find myself now firmly attached to April and Logan and Draper and Raven and their stories. It seemed for a time that Draper would never get his memory back, but the payoff was worth the wait. Thank you for sharing these.

Thanks so much for posting all these episodes. I looked forward every week seeing them. I'm so sad they have reached the end. How could AOL end the run at this important part of the storyline? P&G needs to do the the right thing and show or release the rest of the series.

The baby is real. I do have some ore episode, from January 1981 where the Clown puppet murderer is revealed and a more about Emily's pregnancy is revealed. I also have episodes from the U.S.A run. The question is how do I get them into an uploadable format from DVD. If someone guided me through this process more will be uploaded. AOL episodes came in .wmv and .flv format which lent itself to upload. I also think you should all write P & G so we can get more shows.

If you goggle or go on you tube and search for transferring DVDs to KZbin there is information on how to do it. There is a software Pinnacle studio ultimate that you can use and there are probably some free programs out-there.

Wish we could get some Edge of Night on ME TV. Dark Shadows might be coming to ME TV. If they do and the ratings are good that could lead to Edge

Steve, I have so enjoyed these episodes and I am truly devastated that this is the end of my Edge of Night obsession. As I mentioned in previous posts, I was only 9 - 10 years old when these shows aired, so if I did see them, it all a blur now. i have no idea what happens and how it progresses. GDmn it P&G! Find a way to re-air these shows and make more money!!! I mean if they've got them..

OMG!!! If you have time I hope you'll post those eps. I'm even willing to buy them from you. I have an old tape I got from someone else of EON episodes from 1981 when Molly Sherwood tried to kill Raven and then April. Poor quality, but good eps. I wish I knew how to upload VHS to you tube.

Oh, how sad. I wish we could continue our enjoyment of the show. Perhaps the fine folks of Soap Classics will help bring forth a streaming Edge Of Night service! it was such a great show. Does anyone have tapes of the USA reruns?

for many years this episode was quite distorted having thinking of it,The puppet performed with a character voice but I couldn't remember how it sounded!,..aside the other time it was exposed,Mike was holding it,blood spattered wrapped in cellophane concearningly showing Kelly, and also after Mike pulls it out of a desk drawer prior to a ad bumper!...

I was in high school so I missed out on Emily really going bonkers here. I knew she exited after she pulled the pregnancy scam claiming she was bearing Draper's child. In fact, I think it was some male nurse's at the hospital.

search for "the edge of night man" in the search field at the top. He uploaded them a long time ago. Most of early 1981 isn't available though, which was one of my favorite storylines with Nancy.

I'm sorry I didn't realize the end of 1980 also isn't. AOL went to here from the middle of 1979 and then USA network started showing them late night starting with the June 1981 episodes. I wish METV or retro would show those and we could all see them too. Maybe someday.

there are some from the beginning of 1981 from a persons own video tapes and some are not very good quality but still worth viewing for the story.
