The matchy matchy top is very like the Merchant and Mills Florence. Thanks for the update. Always look forward to your videos.

I've made both, & the wave is much easier to make & wear IMO!

I guess the Matchy Matchy one is easier because no buttons - but I love my M&M Florence, and I was quite shocked by how similar they were to be honest, the wave idea is really original and the Matchy Matchy seems a bit of a rip off.

Thank you Kate. Even when patterns are similar, I've learned they might achieve a similar look but from different blocks and/or techniques. Always great to have options!!!! I definitely support smaller pattern designers!!!

Thank you Kate, gorgeous patterns, as always, I’m tempted with the Nell! I’ve seen Tillys version in Red on Instagram and I love it! Love all the others too, I’m tempted with the backless one but not sure I could pull it off! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Your enthusiasm each week is contagious, thankyou so much for keeping us all in the loop. 😃😍😘

The oxbow pants pattern is wonderful, love the different versions. Very late 90s, early 2000s vibe.

Hi Kate, watch these videos every week and look forward to them but sometimes I feel there are too many dress patterns and I seldom wear dresses. I know it’s summer (I think 🌧️) at the moment and dresses are the thing of the moment but it would be nice to see more separates and accessories..Tia…

I am the same, whenever I’ve been tempted by dress patterns I find I just don’t end up wearing them. I do really appreciate dress patterns that also have a version for the top on its own.

Dresses are the most popular category so I think that's why we see so many releases. There have been some great new top patterns you might like ☺️

Thanks Kate, will keep watching..

Love pattern updates. Too bad the polo shirt isn't more size inclusive, would've bought it otherwise. The tatb dress is so similar to chalk and notch quite old pattern fringe dress. One of the views anyway. Would like more original patterns from the pattern makers.

Not entirely related to this week’s video but I was wondering if you’d consider making a filter available for patterns suitable for 1-1.5m of fabric and 2-2.5m maybe too. I started the sew Hayley Jane subscription box 3 months ago and I’m new to sewing so finding ways to use the 1m supplementary fabric in the box has been a bit of a challenge; just a thought but could be useful for people even when picking up remnants 😊
@TheFoldLine5 ай бұрын
It is quite a challenge to pull this together making sure that the pattern recommedations cover all sizes included but if you are looking for something for smaller cuts or remnants you might like this new blog post: thefoldline.com/2024/06/12/the-shortlist-upcycling-garments-and-textiles/ ☺️

So many patterns across the pattern world coming out that are similar to others. Why should I get the Wave when I already have the Florence. Why get the Fleur when I have the Syd. It's so monotonous.

Ooh those Oxbow pants look amazing. Another great pattern round up, thank you! As was saying below in reply to @janeybwells2810, I was a bit shocked at how similar that Matchy Matchy top is to the M&M Florence.

I had seen the TAB pattern and noticed how similar to the Fabric Godmother Fleur. Shows how they are both ‘on trend’. I can’t decide which to buy! Help?
@balkeesjones80065 ай бұрын
Fleur has options for different cup sizes, eliminating full bust or small bust adjustments. I don't know about the TATB pattern, though.
@philippalincoln22625 ай бұрын
I think I am going to get the TATB one as the lower neckline suits me better x

Are Matchy Matchy patterns paper or PDF? If paper do you sell to US.? I like them quite a bit, but can’t find here where I live. Or would shipping cost be too high ?
@TheFoldLine5 ай бұрын
They are PDF patterns which come with print at home (letter size) files or copyshop files that we can print and post to you or you can get printed locally ☺️
