I remember seeing this for the first time as a kid/early teen on television; I was mesmerized. I especially thought Bella Darvi's costumes and headdresses were the most gorgeous I had ever seen--and I wanted those "hairpieces" of hers. This led me to creating a costume at one point based on her wigs/locks/headdresses. I am still inspired by her sumptuous and alluring costuming. (And the moral lessons in this production cut me to the core; they had a truly profound impact on me.) Unforgettable film.

This is Poetic Justice! It's a pleasure to see Nefer, who because of her own wicked ways is now diseased as well broke, to finally humble herself before Sinuhe the Physician and beg for his help in exchange for Collar that was given to him by Pharaoh himself which at one time was the first most valuable thing he had that she cheated him out of. Now it's the only thing of value Nefer has to save her own life.

Very interesting film. Perhaps it has more overall grandeur than other sand in Spier Epix of the time. But the combined talent of Director Michael Curtiz and The lavish score furnished by Bernard Herrman and Alfred Newman create quite a spectacle! Instead of the contract player Edmund Purdom, The original idea was to have Marlon Brando play the lead. What a different film it may have been!
