When I first saw "Laura", I thought, "This is the most beautiful actress who ever lived". I gasped when she first appeared on the screen. Since then, I've changed my mind any number of times, but she was incredibly beautiful in that movie. It's so sad that a decade later she was having a troubled life. What's My Line often brought stars that had disappeared from view back on to the national stage, at least for a few minutes.

I have always loved Claras talking films, watch as many early talkies you can find, it was a small miracle anyone survived , it took a super power to survive until the technology improved... by 1932 it was again a working art... Clara was ruined emotionaly by the crued harsh work of 29 and 30,

Look at that smile! One my favorites actresses from the Golden Era of Hollywood! She was a skilled and talented actress with stunning elegance and beauty who could convey so much with just her eyes.
