A Russian demonstrated that the quick and easy way to get from the summit of Mt. Everest to base camp is a wingsuit. It's quite an amazing video. It may be debatable that not all who try would have the same expertise, and result.

I know I shouldn't but every time I see this guy standing on the ground showing this contraption, and then up there before he jumps, I laugh at the stupidity of it. I mean seriously, it should have been blatantly obvious it was not going to work, even in the slightest, as the fall directly down at 30fps/ps proved. basically it was misguided suicide. At least he didn't jump off the top when he would have had a lot more time to think about how daft he was before he hit the floor.
