Glad to see you pick this up! I love this game, fiddly beast though it is, and it doesn't get a ton of coverage. Would love to see more, it really lends itself to narrative campaigns! Here is a word wall (see what I did there? I'll show myself out) of rules clarifications, disregard if you're not interested in feedback from The Guy In The Comments: Strong Armor is a bit weird-- it's not like Super Armor in FWW where it always blocks a damage, you still need to roll a symbol to use it, all it does is prevent armor-reducing keywords (namely Piercing) from removing it. As far as I know the color is just a printing issue, it appears in a few places. Models in heavy armor (Hadvar) can only move +2" when they Sprint boost, not +3" (there is a perk that ignores this but I don't think he has it? Don't have my cards in front of me). When you draw an Event card that needs a quest item like the Golden Claw, you shuffle it into the top 3 cards of the treasure deck. This rule is somewhere in the start of the Quest Book, I think. You can only level up characters during the End of Round phase between turns, not as soon as you get the VPs. Two-handed blocks cannot be spent against ranged attacks (including shouts and spells) (no Aragorn-smacking-daggers-out-of-the-air here >.

Excellent video. I am new to the game and just going through the rules and looking at videos of playthroughs. I am finding a lot of rule mistakes but your video really explains the rules well and is a great help.

Glad I could help! Keep in mind they are currently working on a revised rulebook but it’s still some months out.
@frankn4576 Жыл бұрын
@@FliksTabletopGaming I thought the revised rule book will only make the changes to what is in the errata. Are they actually changes or modifying some of the rules? Just curious, thanks

@@frankn4576 Seems like it might be a bit more than that they just did a blog post about it a couple of days ago you can find the link to it on their twitter.

Great playthrough. I have this and after reading the fractured madman written rulebook I was at my wits end. Why on earth did no one think maybe we could put the setup information on one page 😅

A reworked rulebook is on the way thankfully but it's taking them a while.

Another good stuff game and since the Bethsda announced that each game happens in the same universe, I hope to see a crossover eventually even if it is your game only.

After playing this at Gencon this year, wonderful play through! Edit: I would love to hear your thoughts on if this has better or worse mechanics than FWW?

This is a more refined version of Wasteland Warfare’s systems but I do feel it bogs itself down with the quests.

Looks fun, altho the dragonborn looks a bit overpowered making the game easy. What's your opinion on that? How hard is the game?
@FliksTabletopGaming2 жыл бұрын
There’s a lot of different version of the Dragonborn so I’m not sure how balanced overall each is, but in general health pools are pretty small in this game so even if heroes have a chance to avoid a fatal hit once all it takes is one or two good rolls to potentially take them out.

You roll all the dice at the same time. Like with your shout, you can't decide after you rolled how big of a shout you are gonna use.

Looks great, but apparently they are updating the rule book and I’m hesitant to get it before then. Instead I picked up fallout/

The nice thing is, youre getting the new book for free (plus shipping) if you own the old one, so its not too problematic. :) (And its not actually a new edition, its primarily about layout and including errata)
@Wondarcouk2 жыл бұрын
Wow really? They’re replacing old books? That’s nuts

I've heard this game's rulebook is a fucking mess and needed a huge FAQ/Errata but the game itself looks fun. Gotta say though, those cards look like ass.
@FliksTabletopGaming2 жыл бұрын
The rules are largely fine the problem is the layout and the fact it is spread across two books and you need to keep referencing between both. It could have been better thought out.
