First discovered this game in 2013 Winter in college when I had to stay at a stranger's dorm over the winter break. They had this game on Xbox and I got to playing it for the first time. I played that thing overnight, couldn't stop playing it. Masterpiece of a game.

i remember finishing the main quest i.e. letting Martin die. i also failed to save Jauffre and Baurus during Mehrunes's invasion. just before all this i was late to save Lucien Lachance so all i could do was just to stare at his torn body. i lost everyone i was attached to so after all i just travelled around Cyrodiil on foot just to hear this very OST. that loneliness i felt while playing coincided the one i felt irl and this OST makes me cry from time to time.. yet, this is the most beautiful music i've ever heard. i freaking love Oblivion

The snow is falling heavily, the wind is blowing, but the immaculate, clear night skies can still be seen in the small gaps between the clouds. I am undertaking an arduous trek through the remote, snow-capped Himalayan mountain range in Tibet. These mountains have holy connotations that match none other in the world. Tibetan monks have told me an ancient shrine awaits me at the top of this mountain that hasn’t been seen by mortal beings in 200 years.

This is such a pretty flow of music. Playing it in the front office of our screenprinting/fabric/signage etc company… the customers enjoy it because I can see their eyes relax when conversing with me about a job, but they’re also enjoying this as background music. It’s so pretty and calming.

I'd be a little careful with that. Technically you're not allowed to play unlicensed music in a commercial setting, though I doubt you'd ever get in trouble for using the Oblivion OST. Just FYI.

When I lived in Pennsylvania I would run along the Delaware River in the winter. It was SO cold, SO quiet, So still. Along the tow path I would run... 3,4,5,6 miles. Hands numb, face dry, the river flowing beside me. Just me and my mind and my feet and the earth and the water. When I was done running I would sit in my car, turn on the heat and play this song. For 15 - 20 minutes as the car warmed up I would experience the euphoria and enlightenment of warmth and gratitude. Supreme Peace. Every time I go back to PA I go to the River and when I am far away and hear this song it brings such balance. Thanks for sharing it. Elder Scrolls is truly Magic ✨.

I legit started Oblivion in January.. and it was actually Hard af.. Till I looked up some tips and I learned that exploit and restarted a meme Character with those 100hp fire scrolls, potions and that kick ass Staff that costs a butt load. Amazing experience. It was really a blast.. I wish they had fighters guild quests in Skyrim.. that would've been so much fun. Fuck Blades lady. I never killed Parthanax ❤

Beautiful art. Amazing music. Jeremy Soule wrote all of these great soundtracks: Neverwinter nights 1, Knights of the old republic 1, Oblivion, Skyrim. You listen to this music forever

I think this is the best of Soul's work. I genuinely get goosebumps from it every time. It's a very spirtual experience for me always without fail. Auriel's Ascension also does that, too. But Peace of Akatosh is so beautiful, I'd not be suprised if Akatosh was God, was real, and he himself came to Jeremy in a dream to make the most heavenly of all his tracks. I do kid, of course, but this still stands by me as the best OST that exist.

Jeremy Soule, this is a masterpiece. A piece of music which qualifies with the greatest composers.....so haunting, so beautiful, so much pain......I cannot come to terms that this timely piece is associated with a video game, it is so vulgar.....it deserves so much more.

Controversial, but I'd love it if there was an Oblivion remake that was actually pixilated instead like the original TES games. I'd love an odd twist and go back and do retro graphics, not foward where every modern Open World RPG game looks the same. Hyper realism sucks, tbh. I'm so sick of it. Our imaginations are so under-used nowadays. The joke "the movie is always better than the book" rings true a lot. Oblivion, told as a story, would be much better than the original game just in higher quality. The original has a mid-2000s feel that I personally wouldn't want changed. Wouldn't it just feel like playing any other modern Bethesda game? Weird, I know, and I doubt anyone would agree with me on all of this. But I think there would be immense charm from a retro twist instead of "look, better graphics!". And this is all coming from a 27 that's first TES was Skyrim. Not someone who grew up playing Daggerfall or Arena.
