Once you get to play wow so much you cant play anything else :D Nah TBH I am playing wow and eso very long time, give a try to ESO its really a gem if you like more challenging combat rather than button mashing and checking details/recount + ESO questing/solo content is the goat.

yeah same, only time i had any success with it was when I applied my wow playing routine, which was spamming dungeons, and getting high gear score, in the end it served me well for a while so I'm happy to jump back in whenever new stuff is added

The crafting system is one of most favoured in many MMOs played over past 25ish years - researching traits which gradually unlock ability to craft powerful set bonus gear which can mix/match with looted set bonus gear, plus the Antiquities system which apart from the fun minigame itself allows to farm for puzzle pieces to unique one type equipped gear which radically change character strategy, as well the dedicated RP community up with the likes of FFXIV ^^ Hopefully you can find an aspect to enjoy game, and if ever wanting a Vampire bite on NA server just look up Ryv, one of first Vampires in game weeks after launch :>

Even tho the game doesn't require a subscription there is one for about 10$ that is highly recommended. It's essentially like saying you don't have to pay for path of exile, but you should probably at least get the currency stash tab.

It's $14.99 per month, and the PoE comparison isn't the same. In PoE, it's recommended to buy a few stash tabs to make the quality of life easier. You only pay once, and it's not something you'd really need until the end game. ESO Plus, however, is a monthly subscription that wants you to pay for essentially an unlimited stash for all of the crafting materials in the game. There are other things you get for the subscription, but it's not worth it in my opinion. Not that the extra stash isn't important, it is very important if you want to craft the top gear in the game. Paying once for a quality of life feature in a free to play game is way different than paying monthly for a quality of life feature in a paid game.

I can count on 2 hands the number of times I've tried to get into this. I think the initial off-putting thing is the massive numbers. Not sure why, but it totally takes me out of it when I have over 10k health and deal 1000 damage at level 1.

Same here and the numbers were a big part of it too, combined with no damage reports/floating numbers (without mods) and it was hard to tell if gear was even doing anything. Though my biggest problem was just how spammy the combat felt, nothing with a CD or even really cast time outside of ultimates meant all the moves kind of felt the same. Skill sculpting looks neat (and the featured move in this video even had a cast time, how about that) but I have my doubts that it'll really make any of the moves distinct, rather just even more nondescript moves to optimize your buff juggling.

for those wanting to venture into ESO be warned, it's free to play and it does everything in its power to nickel and dime you, yes there's no sub in order to play but once you get into it you start seeing how restrictive the game is without a sub and how expensive it is to keep up with the yearly releases of the game (not to mention all the stuff in the in-game store with cosmetics and pay for convenience stuff) that being said it's a very fun game, the "single player" questing is actually pretty entertaining in my opinion.

I think the most important quality of life aspect would be your movement speed; which is mostly if not completely free if you’re willing to log in daily to upgrade your riding skill/wait for it to be fully upgraded. Of course there’s ways to pay for things like riding skill scrolls but I really think that if you really respect the game and want to get into it it’s not only worth the wait but totally feasible 😅

My only real complaint with the questing in this game is the enemies and "Boss" fights in the quest are super easy. Granted I'm CP1980 but still it would be nice if they made the quest enemies and boss's like the Craglorn Delve boss's at least. Otherwise I love this game.

I have an unpopular opinion, I had way more fun with this game than skyrim. This game is unforgiving once you pass level 50 and i love it. I love all the racial styles, the pvp, the crafting makes a lot more sense then skyrim, the dungeons are actually fun etc. But that's just me, I really want to see you guys oppinion.

Yeah, the animations are ugly to the point of distraction. It's a big reason why I actually use a spell-heavy playstyle even though I'd normally go with melee. The shit animation doesn't stand out quite so much. They were garbage 10 years ago, and they're garbage now. They _really_ need to take the time and overhaul them but if they've gone this long without giving a shit about how much of an eyesore the animations are, they probably never will.

Started playing eso since console release. Been in and out over the last 5 years. This create a spell thing ruins the game for me. No grown person with a job has time for all this. Finding a build and farming gear is already too much. For a pvp player, yeah it’s just too much.

Tried this game on Xbox, and quit after a couple achievements bugged out. The game was fine, but as a console MMO it struggled with social connection. Nobody wants to chat on console, and using a mic can be annoying. It’s probably better on PC.

A couple new sets of gear, weapons, etc. etc. new abilities, etc. etc. It’s literally copy and paste almost every DLC. The only reason the game has some sort of population is because when it pops up on game pass, lol don’t try to act like this game is popping off or anything like that. There’s literally only a couple major clans and everything after that, it’s just gold farming, bots in the open world
