I just got a ps plus subscription about a month ago and I'm getting towards the latter portions of the small handful of games I had to play first. I've been researching different titles to see which ones I want to tackle next but was starting to feel a little worried as everything else looked underwhelming. Your comment and this video convinced me to give this game a shot next in the next couple weeks. Thanks! Skyrim is the only other ES game I've ever played and I've beaten it like 4 separate times now so this looks like an obvious choice. I'd welcome and greatly appreciate any quick tips or comments for me as a new player if you can but no big deal otherwise.

When this game came out it felt very restrictive to me because you had to make separate characters for the factions unless you bought the imperial pack. But 2 months ago i started playing it and its all i want to do... besides Starfield 😅 now an eso plus subscriber and i dont regret it

Wanted to say we have dried banana here in the U.K. too, but not lime flavoured, so it’s much more subtle. You should try that too if it’s over there! Also, severed steel 1 shows her with no right arm and severed steel 3 shows her with no left arm - mistake?

If fashion or houses is endgame for you, then I'd argue its pay to win. Mounts, skins and nice houses are mainly behind a paywall. Not all of them. But most of them. Also long term players will always recommend eso plus for the extra bank space and the craft bag. Which is a monthly subscription.

you don't need money to enjoy the free content, but if you want the endgame stuff you need to at least sub. the game is heavily monetised but on the side of cosmetics, you will only look cool if you spend money basically. but you don't need to spend any more than the sub to enjoy the game 100%

It is little bit confusing, yes. Both is an option ESO Plus is subscription where you get access to all DLCs, but you can also buy the base game and DLCs seperately without subscription. At least on PC.

just my honest thought as someone who have played ESO since day 1 until Necrom. Basically every single zone / maps will have the similar quest pattern, only with different skin and story wise. but it's exactly 100% kinda like a copy paste, and finally after almost 10 long years, i decided to just stop playing until i miss it again.

Well the game is not fun for me. There is very little meaningful interactions with other players (as a casual player). Game is focused on hundreds of quests and exploring. Many mechanics that will allow you to enjoy the game are hidden behind the paywall. And the combat is very clunky and limited - far away of what you experienced in Skyrim.

I'll give the important side of the review that was just skimmed over. ESO Plus... Is it worth it? It's a mixed bag. I myself would love to make a one time purchase of $19.99 just for the craft bag but that's not an option. If you manage multiple toons and play inventory simulation 2025 like I do then you'll see the game loses 99% of its charm. Nobody likes to be extorted for their money every month. They hold the craft bag behind this paywall of 15 bucks each month. It doesn't sound like much on the surface until you have the "membership" for a couple years then let it lapse. You just lost a fukton of cash for no reason. You could've bought a triple A game every 4 months and they would be YOURS to keep. Now weigh that against the cost of each DLC in this game. Some immature kids would say "I can afford it because I'm not poor." On their burger flipping salary... But someone who owns their own home free and clear (don't owe the bank a red cent) vehicles paid off, and ZERO debt and a great career would see this a little different. See, when you look up what extortion means, that is the very essence of ESO Minus because (yea frito, that's a mighty big minus) they give you a cup and throw you in the desert and charge you exorbitant amounts of money for water that you're not allowed to keep. They even took the "gift" option out so you can't trade ingame gold for a gifted DLC. An honest corporation wouldn't do that. (Punchline: no corporation is honest.) Wr can always expect these companies to do these things because our society has no shortage of enablers with an IQ lower than 50. I've planted the seed of critical thinking and that's all I can do. If your brain isn't a desert wasteland that critical thought won't flourish in then I've succeeded in providing a healthy perspective on not only our gaming industry, but the society in which we live and the ills we nurture.

I played it for 8 years and ill say this. If youre after PVE then you're spoilt rotten. If you're a PVP player, i recommended staying away. PVP has been neglected for years now. The devs have been saying for at least 5 years. "We won't be making any new PVP content until performance in Cyrodiil is fixed. Which we're working on." Personally, i think they're lying when they say they're working on it. Like i said, it's been 5 years. Another thing to note about the Devs is after 9 years they still keep changing the core part of the game. Combat. You'll put a class together and be very happy, and every 3 months, you have a chance of that setup being nerfed to the ground. Meaning youll have to start again. I eventually got change fatigue and think the pvp meta is bad, so i left the game. As much as I've moaned. And may have given the worst comment here about the game, no other game will keep me playing half as long as this game. I just wish i left for a more positive reason than being frustrated with constant changes made by the Devs. They ruined the experience for me.
