Just a general one on leads...Did a first Vet dungeon and was asked by a teammate what leads drop I got? They were obviously farming. I did not know what they meant? Is that what gets put into antiquities and can you transfer it to someone? How? Being new they carried me through the dungeon and I feel I owed them so what is the etiquette on these issues?

I tried to get into ESO when it released and gave up on it after a couple of months, so many crazy helpful things in this video, the horse speed increase from Cyrodiil was huge, also I had just assumed that companions were a late game thing since I only saw high level players with them.

Definitely the order of triat Research is Important as well. I would say Research Training, Divine on all gear.

Thanks for the guide and useful informetion! Question about swapping between Crafting Skills setup and PvX setup... If I start some research with my crafting build that has all 4 reduced research time perks unlocked, and then swap to my PvX build... is the research being time affected? Meaning, do I lose the reduced research time when I lose the perks on respec, or are the times locked in?

Crafting used to be harder if I remember correctly, now they give the research scrolls sometimes free as a random daily which they didn't use to do, and you can craft multiple items at once. Before I used to have to craft all the time for master crafter.

So about crafting glyphs. The other day I crafted a gold glyph of prismatic defense and I put it on my green cp160 chest piece. Then I went to the armorer to improve the quality of my chest piece from green to blue but when I improved the chest piece the glyph stats did not improve. It stayed the same. Only the armor value went up. From my understanding since I’m improving something to a high quality shouldn’t all of its stats improve including the glyph?

Hi there. I don't think crafting inspiration was addressed. I notice that inspiration resides in both the crafting skills and the constellation point menu. are these two additive?

Do you have a video or guide on where to get traits? For example I can find most traits for weapons/armor by collecting stuff while questing. However, with Jewelry crafting, I've only EVER found jewelry with the first 3 traits, the only pieces of jewelry i have found with traits other than those first 3 are on Mythics, which I don't want to research.

the others are pretty rare, some drop from psijic order questline, some from trials, pvp, undaunted chests, psijic portals, etc. so yeah, it's much faster to simply buy them in guild stores.

So is it best to focus crafting on just on character or on all of them and when doing daily writs should you make the highest level item that you can make or just lvl 1 items?

It's easiest to have one main crafting character, mainly because of how long it takes to research all the traits and such. Plus although there are generally more than enough skill points to go around, it's easier to not have to use a bunch of crafting skills for each character. Because you can just put whatever you craft in your bank to transfer to other characters, so there's no real hassle with mainly crafting on one. The main exception to this is for daily writs, where you can make a lot of gold and materials by doing them on multiple characters, but it's easiest to just have alts for that. Basically, one main crafter with all the traits and such, but if you want you can still level crafting on others or dedicated alts for daily writs.

I don't think I've ever come across a nirnhoned item in game yet. I had to ask one of my guildmates to craft me level 1 nirn items for research. I provided the nirn (you'll need potent nirncrux for weapons and fortified nirncrux for armor).

Some of the better sets require you to be able to craft them. Some of them also require you to be able to use the Anyiquarian skill line. However, there are good sets you can get without crafting as drops or through like the Undaunted pledges or some stuff in Imperial City for example.

WAY more important to manage your quests and encounters to match whatever your character level is Do that, and all the crafting becomes unnecessary

This does me no good as a new player who has not figured out where to find a crafting bench. I'm guessing you have installed a bench in one of your houses and I'm not that far along in the game.

I hate how paywalled ESO is right now... Of course I understand it's one of the biggest MMOs on the net right now, but they push the player so hard to get something from the crown store... It's insane. For example I get transmutation points for my battlefield runs - and I don't have clockwork city on my account - what do I need them for??? I'd understood if the game was F2P, but it's not... You still have to pay for base game. The base game is like ~300 hours of content though. Sometimes I enjoy ESO, but I feel like killing time while waiting for Starfield 😅

Wanna craft in ESO? Get your credit card out then otherwise you won't be able to be a crafter!!! So much is locked behind dlc it's a disgrace tbh, but typical Zenimax tho!

I always found that crafting was overly complicated and time consuming. I just buy armour from guilds.
