If you don't want to subscribe or can't subscribe, so not having access to bottomless material bag, having a single character who is a master of all crafts isn't very viable as it takes up so much inventory, so I recommend leaning different characters proficient in different crafts. Even if you only keep crafting materials equal to your level, enchanting, alchemy and provisioning all require a huge range of materials. So collect as much materials, put them in your bank and then on those crafters, take all that stuff out to make room because it will take a lot of space.

Honestly, crating bag is essential in my opinion if you want to focus on crafting. It's a life saver. I always play with ESO+

@@DsgSleazy honestly the eso plus sub isn't nearly as bad as MANY other subs. I Mean you even also get 15 dollars worth of crown gems. It's pretty worth it especially if you play the game consistently.

"It's not my place to push you either way" -talking about a payment mechanic in a game. People will probably overlook how respectful and rare this is coming from a content creator on KZbin. You've got a new subscriber.

I think that you can watch your 3d character doing the crafting action, and the UX of the Interfaces (audio+design) are a huge part of what makes this the most satisfying crafting experience in MMOs I’ve seen. I wouldn’t be good enough as artist to create new crafting items for the developers yet, though. Without playing more I’m unsure how it could be simplified. Maybe Lego Star Wars or Diablo could be inspirations.

Honestly, for my money, $140 a year for a game that I'm going to play pretty much every day AND get significant QoL improvements and free perks like Crowns out of it is worth it to me. For a lot of people, a sub MMO just isn't in their budget, but for me, it's a real value, even with the predatory MTX in the game.

Hey great video thanks! Question though, i’ve played ESO for some time now but never really gotten into crafting with my main or alternative characters that much, should I create a new character specifically just for leveling in crafting and spending the majority of skill points into crafting passives etc? I mainly want to be able to get “golden tier” weapons and also to craft gear like the ring of the pale order but I dont know if its necessary to create a brand new character for that or its posible to craft all that with my main DPS MagSorc? Thanks again!

It's comprehensive, but it does not explain where to get approved as a crafter.....like jewlery crafting, you need to get to summerset. So when i vvardenfell, where to I talk to NPC to start?

I have all the material but it keeps saying i need style material. I have the stuff but the game wont accept. I am so confused and fustrated. It keeps tell8ng me i need to go to the crown store and buy some mimic stone. Do you need real cash to craft. I should not need a mimic stone as i have the materials in my inventory . Any suggestions on what i may be doing wrong?

I have one question.. I hope someone reads this: Is it important to start leveling smithing at an early level? I've heard that multiple times. And that's what led to me quitting the game, because I felt like i HAVE to focus on smithing more than anything else. Can someone clarify how I should approach smithing?

late and haven’t really dabbled in it yet, a lot of people say that it’s better to start early but i’m only cp 377 and just starting. maybe it just takes a long time to level up ig i’ll find it out tho

I am up to level 32 but still cannot craft any medium armor at all. I have tons of hides and skins. I cannot even refine anything because that option is greyed out. I cannot craft any medium armor because it says I have no patterns. How to do I get patterns? Occasionally they drop, but not often enough to matter. My blacksmithing is moving forward ... slowly but it's at least showing some progress. Medium armor is just dead. I have plenty of mats but can't do anything with them.

Your light armor and medium armor are like the same skill so if you can deconstruct light armor or learn traits you're fine. Idk if you're still playing or even if you're still having this problem

I have no problem with cosmetics sold for real money but having things that give you an advantage over others costing real money is destroying gaming. If you buy a game you should get everything included and not have to suffer a disadvantage just because you can't or won't pay more, its fucking disgusting the way gaming companies exploit young people, and some older people with no self control. Its not just games that have this shit going on, you can't even buy something like a drill without having to buy the battery separate theses days. Buy a phone but don't get a charger with it, basically making it fucking worthless unless you spend more money. This is what happens when people care more about fitting in and having the latest and coolest thing than people taking the fucking piss out of them and ripping them off, everyone sees that they can walk all over people and exploits the fuck out of it. So really we ( i say we, but not really me because i will just do without instead of letting them con me into spending more money ) only have our selves to blame for the state of things.

iN 2021 ,,, Crafting is fun ... It takes years < seriously years > to research all the traits ! ,, but before you have you will realise , you can pick up far better weapons and armour than you can make ! ... Healing potions do not work in combat ! ... poisons actualy decrease the damage you deal ,, Honestly i would say Provisions and enchanting are the only crafts that are actualy of any value to gameplay ! .. However i am busy researching and earning a few gold by doing writs ,because i enjoy that ! .. Also because i hope one day the devs will make crafting actualy worth the effort ! ... I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE POTIONS THAT WILL WORK IN COMBAT ! .... Simmarly i would like to see healing magic work whilst in combat ! ...

How does crafting in ESO compare to FFXIV? It bothers me quite a lot that we gave such a rich crafting and gathering mechanicz in FFXIV but then its mostly useless. It breaks my immersion to know that an activity is useless to the in-game economy.
