Once you get used to that, the other skills like turning and sliding become much easier. It’s expensive but if you want an electric snowboard that you can ride anywhere, this is it. If you want a lower cost version , check out freebord which rides similarly but has no motor so you need to ride it downhill.

A snowboard I bought a year old model board, bindings, and boots once since I finished growing at a swap meet for over half off. I buy a season pass in advance, since there’s no guarantee of good snow. I pay $300 for an unlimited early bird pass. Me and the homies rent a motel room for $30 a night, like $6 a person. Gas isn’t too bad either since I live close enough like 2 hours with traffic from my home resort. There’s also shuttles that run every weekend from my city. I want to be able to compress my legs and DRIVE the board into the turns then get weightless in between them. There's no power transmitted down through the legs into the edge, or wheels, and far less control when scarving. On the other hand well executed carved turns engage the whole body in the turn. There's not much flow state with scarving, at least from my experience. Then again who am I to say what's fun. If someone likes to twirl and drift around slideways, more power to them.

In this video I'm wearing a Seiko SNZG15J1. Great, affordable field watch that I wear most days when I need to work with my hands.

Never tried any electric skateboard but this looks cool and want one. I know you say that this isn't for going from A to B but I really like the idea to travel with a "snowboard" to my work rather to use the car. But I will investigate some more before a purchase. Good video man 👍

Good work,so it was for recreation? Rather than a transportation tool, right?

So it’s a motorized rip stick? I’m a grizzled veteran on the rip stick I’d love to try this thing if it translates I’m buying it immediately.

I got to ask the question.....why did they keep the wheels standard shape instead of having the inside diameter being bigger so that when you bring two wheels down on one side it will get full traction instead of just the outside half of the wheels ?
@Grottowalker3 жыл бұрын
prob standard long board wheels, which means there is already a huge market of hardness and wheel types you can play with.

I love the future... When your having trouble deciding between this, a One Wheel.. Or a electric unicycle... So many options!!! Just need more $$$

Can the summerboard be used off road like dirt gravel grass terrains?
@whateverthisis39293 жыл бұрын
This board is about $3500AUD, but factor in teeth implants for $5000 AUD each, plus the occasional ambulance fee of around $1000, it's an expensive sport.

How would you compare this to the one wheel which is another device that's supposed to somewhat simulate snowboarding.

So I bought one of these right before Covid started and I live really close to the company. I payed for express shipping but they were having some supply chain issues getting batteries so my order was delayed. Almost two months later when Covid was ramping up my office let us telework so I went to visit my family in Florida for a few months while teleworking there. I called the company to change the shipping address on my order since it had still not been shipped and they told me they would have to cancel my original order and put me at the back of the line, even after paying for express shipping and waiting over two months at that point. I ended up having the board shipped to the original address and it showed up without the foothold pads that I had payed extra for as well. My experience with the customer service sucked and I didn’t get my full order but that was early 2020 and the board is still really cool. It’s really fun to ride when it clicks, but it’s very intimidating to learn. It is my first electric skateboard which I think made the learning harder, I am an experienced snowboarder though

Freebord is your affordable option. They run on gravity so never need charged. No controller so your hands are always free. Light weight...And the foot hooks are included! All for around $300! 😉
