Rarity's originally was element of Creativity, but it was scrapped due to executives thinking that kids won't understand that. Izzy definitely fits that.

The elements of harmony are actually named correctly by the pillars. They are refections. Hope, strength, beauty, bravery, healing, and sorcery. Pipp does fall under beauty for sure.

Yea I think the definitions of the elements change to better fit the ponies that they are given to while still fitting kinda the same thing. So the new cast will fit different elements while still being similar like the pillars and g4 did

I think in this case (the comic book cover) is not about whom match the element with whom. But it's all about the similarity of traits that each of them possessed. Example, when u see Zipp for the first time...who she reminded u of? Rainbow dash, right? Same goes to Izzy reminded us of Pinkie Pie, Pipp reminded us of Rarity...

I would hope that they'd use new virtues, like how the elements, pillars and geodes all represent different virtues. Like, Pipp could be inspiration, Izzy could be creativity, Hitch could be justice, Zipp could be bravery and Sunny could be charisma, and the new unicorn Misty could be hope or cleverness.

I don't think the comic cover is about the elements but more about simillar pony personalities. Pipp is Rarity because they're both glamorous. Izzy is Pinkie Pie because they're both bubbly. Zipp is RD because they both love flying. Hitch is AJ because they're both sticklers for rules. Sunny is Twilight because they're both the default main character. The last missing character is easy. Sprout is Fluttershy because they're both cowardly or timid. The comic cover doesn't show the elements at all. Just the ponies.

If they bring back the elements, then they'll (hopefully) also address the tree(s)/ spirit of harmony, as well, which is where the elements came from. Maybe this ties in with the appearance of Twi as a representation of the spirit of harmony ("Treelight") we've seen in the preview of the series? ... honestly, that's a lot more continuity than I would expect at this point But a fan of old Equestria can hope...

I had thought about that maybe sprout could join the main 5 since, hitch is also pretty much is the only earth pony member cause of sunny becoming a alicorn, like Izzy as unicorn. So they might add another member to kinda fit that roll, like they did with sunset and starlight in G5 And I do think sprout would fit in, not directly part of the main group but maybe like someone who spends a lot of besides them like starlight did. But who knows, that do y’all think?

I believe that in this generation each one will have their own element! izzy is not quite like Pinkie, pinkie liked to make cakes, plan parties, now izzy is more creative, funny (but we also all got used to pinkie that it would be nice to have a fun character in this generation) generous (she loves to make everyone happy, she saw herself with zipp's glasses in tell your tale and sunny's flashlight in the make your mark special) Pinkie really liked to make friends happy, but there are differences! Pinkie does it with parties, Izzy does it with her creativity, which makes them different… I don't know, I say, that the characters of g5 don't have so much to do with those of g4

Well here is my explanation to why these elements fit them Sunny: She’s already self explanatory. So I don’t actually have to explain why her element is magic. Izzy: She is obviously laughter because she always try’s her best to be positive and make everyone laugh. And always wants to cheer her friends up. Hitch: His would either be loyalty or kindness because in the movie, he would rather act like a friend towards Sunny instead of a sheriff. He chose her over his job. So maybe her was mainly being loyal instead. Zephyrina/ Zipp: Her element would be honestly because she made it clear she hates lying in the movie. No matter how many times she told her mom to stop lying, she wouldn’t listen. She wanted to be honest to everyone. Pipp: Her element could be generosity. Not because she almost looks and cats like Rarity, but because even after Sunny, Izzy, Hitch, and Zipp ruined her best performance ever, and kinda put there mom in jail, she still help them find a way out of the city. Misty: She would most likely be kindness. I know that she will probably join there group at some point. She doesn’t seem like she wants to be evil.

I think Princess Sunny Starscout is the Element of Magic, because just like Princess Twilight Sparkle, she is the new leader of the new Mane Six and she is the new Monarch of all of Equestria, that is, she is the new Princess Ruler of all of Equestria, while Princess Zipp Storm is the Element of Loyalty, because like Rainbow Dash, she is the most rebellious and most athletic member of the team, Princess Pipp Petals is the Element of Generosity, because like Rarity, she is the most elegant and the most beautiful member of the team, Izzy Moonbow is the Element of Laughter, because like Pinkie Pie, she is the most cheerful and the most outgoing member of the team, Misty Brightdawn is the Element of Kindness, because like Fluttershy, she is the shyest and kindest member of the team, and Hitch Trailblazer is the Element of Honesty, because like Applejack, he is the most honest and most responsible member of the team.

Honestly I think Sunny is the element of kindness as she was the first one to show it to the other ponies. I think the five together embody the element of magic. “When the five are present a spark will cause the sixth to appear.”

It's harder to pin the elements since the new crew are blends of at least two of the mane 6. Hitch is a blend of Dash's loyalty as you said, but he's also got Shy's animal speak. So that fits quite nicely. Izzy is a blend of both Ponkers & Rare since she's very artsy. But I think optimism would be the better fit. Remember when Celestia listed the Mane 6's traits in the S3 finale? She didn't use the elements' names, but different words. I can see Zipp being honesty if she were written to be more assertive and blunt when speaking her mind. I think it'd fit her much better. Pipp is tough to pin. She's got Rare's vanity & confidence, but generous? No. I'm going to take a gamble and say Pipp should be kindness. I can see her being kind just for fame at first, but over time, it comes to her more naturally. I think generosity should be assigned to Misty. From what little we see in the latest trailer, it looks like she's offering her services to the main crew one by one. This generous approach could be what makes her flip. And Sunny? Easy. Friendship is what brought them all together to unlock the magic. But that's just my take and not that I'm one to brag, but it certainly sounds like I have a clearer vision for this show than the showrunners do at this point.

The thing about the elements of harmony, is that they were a deus ex machine, no matter how bad the situation was, the elements fixed it, that's why the writers destroyed them in the last season, because they were a very narrative resource used that limited the story. The lesson learned from the destruction of the elements is that true friendship does not come from an object, but from the interior of those who seek it.

I have an idea of them embodying more than one, at least two, Elements at a time, sorta like how the Student 6 was a bit more vague with the Elements compared to the Mane 6. For example I can understand if Moonbow were both Loyalty & Laughter! Dunno really if the bearers should overlap or not, but maybe so for this idea... More headcanon for all of them maybe, Sunny- Magic. Magic representing each element together like, not only a power source but a middle ground Hitch - Kindness, Honesty Zipp- Honesty, Generosity Pipp- Loyalty, Generosity (this one was a lil hard lol. I love the idea of Misty joining the mane five. A lot of people including myself, have theorized that she will become friends with Sunny, Izzy, Hitch, Zipp and Pipp, she’ll reform and help them stop Opaline from taking over Equestria. That being said I do have another theory I would love people to talk about. I would do it myself but I don’t know how to make a KZbin video. Anyway my theory is that Misty was created by Opaline to be her assistant so she could help her with her plans. I know it sounds crazy, but hear me out: she’s the only unicorn that is serving Opaline, her horn seems to change color and most suspicious of all she doesn’t have a cutie mark. If those aren’t hits of Misty being a creation of Opaline I don’t know what is. So please think about it, MLP Fever.

I don't think because Misty is her creation. My reason is that ... Well lets links this to miraculous, how Felix is a sentimonster, Misty actually left opaline in the end of chapter 4 and resisted, and sentimonsters are created from using the peacock miraculous, and there is no known magic the pony world to create a pony in any and u need to get a cutie mark for doing a talent or a desire. The reason why she hasn't got the cutie mark at the time is because opaline was controlling and misty was depressed for her cutie mark and the time. Also she made it clear on the last episode in chapter 4 that if she already had her cutie make then she would never had worked with opaline.

I think Generosity fits Pip, whose goal is to make sure everyone is feeling and looking their best. She goes out of her way to make sure it happens, and she doesn't have to. But, she does. It's part of who she is. I think honesty fits Hitch, in that he's his best when he is honest. That is when he is his wisest and most helpful, and his solution to most problems, that often leads to success. Zipp finds it hard to be loyal to any person or situation. It's usually her last resort. She finds it hard to trust other and to put her all into any group project. But she finds success there. Like in Yes Day, and the episode about Zipp's Flight School. And even in the first special. I do think loyalty suits them, but that they'll somewhat have to grow into it. I - also - don't like laughter for Izzy. She makes people smile and helps them find their purpose, but she doesn't make them laugh. Though I could also see her growing into it, I could also see the series changing the logic a little for happiness to be counted as laughter, to fit Izzy further. Not a perfect fit, but workable. It's like the elements for the ponies are the solutions they have to use to successfully solve their problems and complete their plots in their episodes (especially in tell your tales). This, I like. Also, I head canon Sprout holding the element of kindness. I think that would be so cute. But I don't know enough to even talk about Misty yet 😅.

I don't think that Rainbow Dash and Applejacks cutie mark should have be swapped. Applejack uses her pure honesty for good measure which fits the whole idea of the elements of harmony while Rainbow Dash as you said is straight up brutally honest which would not fit the category of the elements of harmony. Quite the opposite really. Rarity in that one episode has proved that too Applejack that being brutally honest is a foul thing to do- even worse than actually white lying in some cases. Rainbow dash also lies way more than Applejack. Rainbow Dash may be a stuck-up jerk sometimes but she's undeniably loyal in the heat of the moment. Now Applejack has experimented with some lies as well but we all have flaws as you stated in the video, like rarity and etc. Applejack may be family-oriented but that doesn't quite mean that she is 100% loyal. It just means she loves spending time around her family and lending a helping hoof. She straight up ditched her whole family and friends without hesitation to cover an embarrassing lie. Like I said, her spitting out some lies time to time is just a flaw. But to ditch her family over not winning a single badge without saying a word says a lot.

There are the other names for the elements not just the original 6 that people are more familiar with. Like there are the other trees of harmony and their own elements and associated values. The fact that there are 7 elements in equestria girls. That Spike has his own element despite us never having it specifically revealed to us. That Twilight was able to channel 3 generations of bearers connections to their elements into a single rainbow blast to direct towards the powered up trio of Tirek, Chrysalis and Cozy Glow. I think that the apparition of Twilight that we saw in the trailer could possibly be either the spirit of Princess Twilight or the spirit of the tree of harmony, since she did take on the appearance of Twilight. Rather than keep the form we saw in rainbow rocks.

As you must have noticed by now, G5 seemingly reinvents the Elements of Harmony (much as was done retroactively with the Pillars). Now we have: Hope; Confidence; Courage; Creativity; and Kindness. And since this video, Misty has been represented as the Element of Empathy. Well actually you forgot that the Elements change with generations. The pillars had other Elements than the mane 6 had. The show does mention the new Elements with also follow the different generations thing. Let’s see: Izzy creativity, Sunny hope, Pip confidence, Hitch kindness (I guess one Element can be found in the next generation too), Zip courage and Misty… strength maybe?

Izzy would be generosity. How she opened her cottage to total strangers and wanted to make them tea and helped them fit in with Unicorns to the best of her ability. Pipp maybe laughter because she's an "influencer" on the Zephyr-net I guess. It's not a world wide web or even nation wide. Hitch.. uh.. Incompetence is not an element so I'm going to go with kindness because of the Fluttershy connection IDK. Zipp is very much Rainbow Dash but not Loyalty in any regard. She totally abandoned her sister and betrayed her own mother for a stupid idea a stranger gave her. She's basically a traitor to Z Heights the Pegasus tribe and caused the downfall of her own Royal family ending in a coup by the military to depose them because Haven was revealed to be a liar as were her daughters. This whole thing is a sh(yay) show anyway. There is no story to track here. Sure, Sunny's magical in the way that Sailor Moon is magical girl but she is in no way an Element of Magic.

Pipp is a little like Rarity, but goes for popularity over generosity. In some ways Hitch is like AJ, being honest as per his duty. Izzy is a lot like Pinkie Pie, with a generous amount of laughter. Zipp has ambition like RD, but is not a showoff, though she maintains loyalty to her friends and her mother. Sunny is the obvious choice for the element of magic. I'm not sure about Misty being Kindness to the core. I see Misty having similar standards to that of Trixie, who had the fanfic element of Forgiveness. I am surprised that Discord did not seek the elements. I wonder if those elements inside the Mane Six turned into jewelry after the Mane Six passed away (remember that King Sombra destroyed the trinkets).

I will clarify a little about the relationship of characters with the Elements of Harmony. Applejack in any dimension meets Twilight Sparkle, telling her the truth about what's going on. She promised herself to be honest since her teenage years, although over time she admits that sometimes such an approach to ponies can be rude. Other characters have also been brutally honest, but you didn't pay attention to that. Rainbow Dash has bonded with the Element of Loyalty, but it's actually the virtue of Chastity. She turned down the easy choice of joining the Wonderbolts if it meant leaving her friends. Rainbow Dash has chosen a difficult and long path to her dream. I agree with the opinion of the commentators who say that with each generation of new guardian ponies, new Elements of Harmony appear, except for Magic, the catalyst for Friendship magic. There is some exception - the Six Students of the School of Friendship directly continued the connection with the Elements of Harmony of their teachers. Gallus was the unspoken leader of the company, and he glowed pink and purple when the Tree of Harmony saved the guys! I thought while watching and decided that the composition of the Elements of Harmony in the G5 could be as follows: Sunny - Magic, Izzy - Fun/Laughter (Discord would proud her. Izzy brought a lot of chaos to Maretime Bay with her, and we, the audience, laughed about it), Hitch - Honesty (He frankly told Sunny that her friendship speeches weren't enough to change the ponies' lives, and he also told Sprout to "don't start a war", as if realizing he was the instigator), Zipp - Loyalty (Chastity, which means being honest with yourself and the world, and not about sexual experience), Pipp - Generosity (she is very generous in producing fan content, singing and supporting others. She could have just returned the crown to her mother, but she chose to help her sister when she woke up from shock due to everyone's disappointment), Misty - Kindness (she is a kind filly who needs to find a solid core in herself and get out of a shitty relationship with Opalin. I noticed that she has a gift for smoothing out a tense situation).

maybe sunny could be both kindness and magic at the same time, it may be wild but we know that she's not a full alicorn; sunny treated her father and the other races of ponies kind and not rude or mean to them, yeah sure she may have made hitch disappointed at her for going on her way to try to get the races together but they all managed to get along including hitch, we can still see that she's trying to make those mean ponies get along with others and hell she even succeeded. In terms of the g4 elements my theory on how it works is that they only FULLY embraced their elements after unlocking the chest in season 4 because before and during season 4 they all reject their elements at times but during season 4 they make emphasis on them embracing and learning about their elements and resulting in unlocking further power in the elements and I can't really think of times they reject their elements after season 4 so I think they only truly embraced their elements in season 4 finale and onward

My theory is that the elements of harmony is the crystals that contain the magic. I only say it since that the vision of twilight appears by it in the trailer. Which is why maybe each group of ponies need to get along for the crystal to work

Hitch abandoned his town to chase Sunny and Izzy for reasons (and the plot wanted him to). He showed loyalty to Sunny, nopony else. He left the town in the height of fear and panic after they were (in their perspective) invaded by a brain frying monster that he let get away. he then turned over the town to a pony he knew was incompetent, cowardly and unstable. The entire plot of the race riot and war happened because Hitch was very disloyal to both his town and his duty as a Sheriff. A loyal person would have stayed to reassure the citizens and make sure panic and riots were avoided. But I guess we just had to have mustache hitch dress-up as a Pegasus. /)_- i will say I loved how he got them out of trouble in Bridelwood. LOL

I always think that the elements change every 1000 years to adapt with the times. in starswirls' time it was more power related, then twilights was friendship, and now i believe the new elements represent Unity. izzy = creativity, hitch = responsibility, zipp = independance, pipp = influence, sunny = unity(magic), and the new one misty = freedom. For hitch i believe its responsibility because hes literally the sheriff and in make your mark he's a dragon dad. For pipp she literally is an influencer, and represents the highs and lows of influencing ponies and their choices in a world of internet access. And having the confidence to influence people with good intentions. Zipp has a whole storyline in the 2D g5 show where she doesnt wanna participate with everyone till she does a yes day, shes independant from the group, and she represents being independant but learning that independance does not just mean being alone. And misty represents the freedom of being able to make your own choices in life, free as a butterfly. Obvious Izzy is obvious, She literally has the creativity to reuse trash and make something completely new. And sunny is the 7th element representing unity among ponies of different backgrounds, Not just the idea of pegasi earthponies and unicorns, but also among differents kind of people(ponies). P.S. i feel Hitch fits kindness much better. He is always shown thinking of others and trying to help somewhere. They even gave him one of Fluttershy's gimmicks of talking to animals. Loyalty, as you said, is also a decent fit. I'm just not sold on him representing Honesty even with the cover showing him with Applejack. He hasn't had much in the realm of uncovering truth, and half his time in the MYM special is keeping the egg secret for some reason(dishonest)

The comics for g4 showed other areas outside of equestria has trees pf harmony that seemed to reflect the j Key traits of those societies. While Im unsure how cannon that comic is it would be intresting to see the Elemwnts evolve to the needs of the new equestria. If not than oddly i find the way at least tell your tale sets things up that izzy may be kindness or generosity over laughter. We've see she likes to reuse things, create gifts for friends, and go out if her way to solve small life problems for citizens. Twice already thats been the focus of her minu episodes. Which feels like kindness or Generosity. I hope they lean more into that in the netflix show as we learn more about the world and get sharowr writting. I wonder too if the seventh element people theorized from the human world could come back, i think people ise to say sunset was forgiveness or compassion? It would be intresting if that element returned to equestria and ended up with the predicted main six or prehaps even in the hands of someone like posy whos being More developed or maybe even sprout because that be an intresting way to circle back to the movie .

I feel like Pipp has a decent claim to being the Element of Loyalty. Unlike Zipp she was initially much more loyal to her family and the monarchy and pegasus independence in the movie (wanting to keep the flight secret and being angry about Zipp helping Sunny), and she keeps a closer/more sympathetic relationship with Queen Haven in the show than Zipp does, and isn't quite as inclined to stay away from Zephyr Heights.

I don't think laughter fits for Izzy. She's a goofball who doesn't take things very seriously, but she isn't trying to make others smile and laugh like Pinkie. Maybe generosity would fit better, since she's always making gifts for her friends, or trying to help them. Maybe Pipp would be a better fit for laughter, since she's an entertainer. She does more than just comedy, but she seems to be a bit into that as well.

The elements are no Object like they was in the G4 Show, they was more like a Object connected to the Element or better Power. After Sombra has Destroy the Tree of Harmony and the Elements, the Mane 6 still could use them. But in the Begin of the show it was shown, the elements can't be destoyed, they reform when a User is found, like as Nightmare Moon destroyed the elements the first Time. I guess, the elements are not set, they are not always the same Power. If a Wearer is found, it boost the already existing Power, so it is a bit like Cutiemarks on Drugs. Every Mane 6 has get her element on the Personality, so I guess the same fit the Main 5 as well. Sunny has shown the Wish to bring Magic back, so she has get Hope even if Courage maybe would fit more, Izzy like to build things like Rarity has made her Dresses, so she is Creativity even if Friendship woulf fit more (she is Friend with every Creature), Hitch has an ego but act like a Dad since the Dragon has Arive, this and his Ability fit Fluttershy well, so Kindness is maybe the only Power from the Mane 6 in G5, Pipp is a tictoc pony and social, so I guess Confidence maybe could fit even I think Convivial fit more and Zip feels more like a Leader as Sunny in some Moments. From the look and personality mix I can always say, sunny is a grown up scootaloo, Izzy is Pinkie Pie, Hitch is Flash Sentry with some Fluttershy in him, Pipp is Rarity and Zipp is Spitfire, Queen Haven is an older Diamond Tiara, Misty is Wallflower Blush (Equestria Girls) and Opaline is an Dollarstore Nightmare Moon.

Using just the movie as an example: I Honestly think the element of “kindness” Fits sunny aLot more than magic. Obviously the whole main character/alicorn appearance would connect her to twilight more. But in the film, “magic” didn’t really relate to sunny at all and it how it was mainly about her being kind to every pony and giving them a chance. So I feel like that since there’s only 5 ponies instead of 6, the element of magic maybe would become for all 5 of them because “friendship is magic” But obviously I don’t think the show will do that as they really are pushing the idea that Sunny and connected to twilight mostly.

The element of kindness does (kinda)fit misty(if the elements are the same as g4) because in the last episode of G5 chapter 4 misty helps the mane 5 to escape from a wall made of magic created by opaline... And misty helped them out so that's kindness. But still, only if you want to see them as the holders of the elements from g4. If we're not seeing them as holders of the elements they share similar traits & looks... Like rarity and pipp likes being all fancy and glamorous... And Zipp and Rainbow Dash love to be cool and freaky.. And hitch and fluttershy love animals.. And izzy and pinkie pie are always funny and doesn't (not always) take things that seriously... Sunny - Twilight don't seem to have similar traits like how twilight always panics and sunny doesn't. But they do happen to have the main role and the main element ( magic) and then we have AJ left which does not really fit misty so... I'm not sure if we let them have similar traits or elements....
