What a loving tribute to magnificent Misty. Thank you all at Sanctuary for taking such good care of her and giving her a safe haven where she could roam, saunter, play and swim whenever her sweet heart desired. Really, what more can any being ask than that?

Tears are pouring down my face. It is always so very sad when an elephant passes away. We can take comfort in knowing that she had great care, loving ele-companions and a wonderful place to explore and be safe at the end of her life. Rest in peace, sweet Misty. I sometimes wish I was a human that didn't feel emotions because this one hurts. I hadn't checked my email for about a week and I don't know why but I just had a feeling something wasn't right so I went to TES homepage and there I see "Rest In Peace Misty". I'm going to miss saying to myself as I wait for the elecams to load "I'll bet I'm going to see Misty taking one of her beauty naps' and low and behold it's Misty.....taking one of her beauty naps! I sure hope there's an afterlife and she's with Delhi, Dulary, Lota, and all of her elephant friends. (I'm one that believes in we won't know what happens until it happens to us) and if there is an afterlife, I hope I get a chance to see her. Like all the other elephants she always put a smile on my face whenever I saw her on the streams. RIP Babygirl!

Oh my God!!! I am terribly sadden by this news that even got me crying. I hate to hear when they get sick and then pass, it is so sad. I love all animals so much that this kind of news hurts me very deeply. Beautiful baby Misty you will be missed so, so much. :(
