Carol and Scott, thank you for all that you have done for these gentle giants. My sincere sympathy to you and the girls on the loss of Bunny and Ned. Namaste, Dear Bunny

She sounds so happy! I would rather see an elephant living like this than working in any show!

Poor animals have been through so much trauma for so long being forced to do things they don't wanna do that it takes them a while to believe they are truly finally free.

No elephant should ever be alone - they did not evolve that way, they are too sensitive and emotional and loving to be isolated. Winkie, Tina, Shirley... they all lived alone for decades which is plain cruel.

Just beautiful. Thank you to the people of Evansville for truly loving Bunny and letting her go to have the best life possible in captivity, and thank you to The Elephant Sanctuary for providing that life. Rest in peace, Bunny, the elusive one.

I cry both tears of sadness and tears of joy that her last years were happy years hangin out with the other girls. I can't imagine how much sadnes you all must feel when one of the girls pass away. Thank you all so much for making her last years so wonderful. Lets hope we all see them in heaven.

What a sweet magnificent creature Bunny was. So majestic but gentle. She's gone before her friends and when their time comes she'll welcome them home at heaven's gate with a mighty trumpet. God Bless you Bunny. I only regret that you spent so many of your 57 years in "service" to man.

This is sooo sad but I agree it is beautiful that she had a chance to pass from natural causes... not all Elephants get that luxury. RIP Bunny girl!

Bunny, you were always a favourite from day one and I will never forget you. May your eternity be warm, but not too warm, shady, but not too shady, and filled with delectable nutritious treats, spring-filled ponds, rainy days and sunny ones, star-filled nights, and Asian elephants you know and love. Give Jen, Tina, Lota, Delhi, & Barb trunk hugs. Queenie & Ned, too, though you did not meet them. Big hugs to the Sanctuary that looked after her so well, as is plain in this wonderful video.

To those who dedicate their life to help these elephants find peace on earth (again), I salute you on this Memorial weekend. You can't save them all, but you continue working AS IF . . . Perhaps one day it will come true. I believe with all my heart, that there is a special place in heaven for those who bring wonderful joy to any previously mistreated or abused and neglected animals. Thank you for all you do - for the elephants! ((♥))

It is so funny and cute when they throw the hay on top of their heads, and it is just sitting there.
