The last airplane of the Former Airport of Athens is being relocated.
The Municipality of Ellinikon-Argyroupoli has accepted the donation and placement of the Boeing 747 airplane of the former Olympic Aviation on Vouliagmenis Avenue, in order to protect it and make it a landmark for the area.
The projection of an airplane on Vouliagmenis Avenue will be a magnet for visitors, strengthening the tourism development of the area and international recognition. The presence of an Olympic Aviation plane will be a symbol of aviation history and provide an educational perspective for visitors. At the same time, it will encourage young people's interest in aeronautics and technology, acting as an inspiration for future generations.
