In today's unboxing we'll be discussing the rare Dead Dead Demon's Dededede Destruction Vignette figure by Good Smile Company. One of the few figures I can call truly rare in my collection that I've luckily owned for six years now. Sought after by those who missed out and for whatever reason just will not get a rerelease. Let's talk about the figure and briefly go over the situation

There is something aesthetically pleasing about this kind of figures that I find difficult to describe. It truly epitomizes the phrase, "more than the sum of its parts."

Dude this is such a W take. I think it’s cool when you end up having something that is rare, but as you said there is no reason to want other people to miss out. Me and my brother collected Funkos for a bit and it’s crazy how older collectors will actively attack people who want rereleases. Like some of them say it’s “fun” to save up and pay 500 dollars for a grail💀 you know what’s more fun? Paying 20 dollars and getting the same thing😂😂

Elitists in any hobby are usually the worst people ever so I'm not surprised, plus when it comes to collecting there's many people that just do it for profit anyway. Videogame collecting has gone so downhill for me because everyone's a reseller now

OMG! I agree one thousand percent! I collect Hot Toys, statues, and anime figures (yeah my wallet is constantly on fire) and I see this all the time. For me, there's no better joy than to see a fellow collector snag a figure they've always wanted. There's absolutely no need for the whole elitist attitude.

I'm so glad you brought this out cause I've always wanted to see b-roll of this figure. The composition is probably my favourite part though it's smaller than I thought it'd be. But it's so expressive and lively you can't help but love it. And I do think you have a point about Asano's stuff being exclusive and expensive. Even his manga in English have jacked up prices compared to titles from other highly acclaimed authors and are prone to being out-of-stock a lot. Figures that are based on a manga are indeed super uncommon. The only other example that comes to mind are two Witch Hat Atelier figures; I think one was made by Ques Q (beautiful figure by the way, it has one of the best paint jobs I've ever seen), and the other made by Kotobukiya. But like the fate of all manga figures, both are now stupidly expensive and rare. Though as a manga reader myself, I would like more manga figures. The composition of manga panels and illustrations are usually really interesting which could translate to amazing figures.

Yeah one of the main reasons I wanted to make this video was because I couldn't really find any footage on KZbin. I've also talked about the series enough so eh why not. Good excuse to dig into my collection and talk about something while it's relevant. We probably don't get manga figures as much for the same reason the industry is run by cute and sexy anime girl figures. They know what sells better. Makes the few that do come out that much more special though

i feel that so much, back in 2010 there were figures released by Union Creative for the Fan-Made Character Calne Ca and oh boy, i always wanted to get my hands on them but they have never rereleased until now...there was only 2 of them that got rereleased but they weren't the ACTUAL Calne Ca but more the two other ones that weren't as popular as the real deal...i got one of the two and i am still eagerly waiting for the actual Calne Ca to rerelease

One of my favourite figures for sure, it sits in a display box on my bedside table so it'll make me smile when I wake up! Snagged it back in 2020 for what I thought was a high preowned price, now that's just a normal figure price... I really hope they do a re-release so others can enjoy it. Loved seeing the b-roll on the TV even though I own it, really good to appreciate the small details!

I really wonder what the price would be if this did get a rerelease. Surely a slight increase but considering the size that might turn people off if it hits around the 25k mark

I remember when GSC first announced its Wonderful Hobby Selection line back in 2016! I finished undergrad back in 2016 😂 I have their Warspite, Atago, Yamato, Musashi, and Takao from their WHS line lol

Okay so I came for info on the figure, and left with a curiosity of Dorohedoro which lead to an obsession. I LOVE THAT ANIME! I knew about it but didn't give it a chance due to how weird it was. Wow, it's such a fun anime. Super violent but the humor lands so well (I'm looking at you Ebisu, you poor thing 😅). I can't say I agree with your opinon on the Dorohedoro figures though. The previous releases were cool but I rather like the anime versions. Sure the manga version of Caimen came with a LOT more accessories but I like the look of the anime version more. All that said, the Dededede figure is rather nice. I watched the first episode of the anime and what a ride it was! Looking forward to what's to come.

Caiman is more debatable imo. His outfit looks a bit better with the Anime version but the amount of extras you get with the Manga version is just insane. Shin I personally think the Manga version just outclasses the new one. They look nearly identical except the Manga version is much dirtier and of course comes with alot more. Even an extra faceplate which goes a long way for me. But either way yeah dorohedoro is so fucking good and I'm glad this video got you into it Also I would still recommend the Three Zero figures regardless of which ones you prefer. The only one I've had issues with was Nikaidou which is a shame cause I love her but the figure just has so many issues despite looking good

@@ZuccoFigures The best part about your reply is even though I'm steadfast about my opinion, I totally see where you are coming from. The extras the manga Caiman comes with is crazy! I also LOVE the backpack as it gives him this really 'fully loaded' look. I think I prefer the anime version because of the pop of color. I dig the blue jacket and green pants. I feel you sort of get lost in all the black on the manga version, though he still looks cool as hell. As for Shin, yes, I see your point there too! I'm on episode 12 of the show and throughout Shin is a dirty mess. Haha! What would have set his figure even more apart is a bit of blood splatter. I so hope Threezero would rerelease some of these figures. And we must get Noi. All in all, Zucco I can't thank you enough for always mentioning this series. I recall you bringing it up in a couple other videos. I feel head over heels in love with it. The characters are absolutely amazing and the story is an insane, humorous, chaotic ball of perfection.

@@genefactor007 I do my part in spreading the good word of Dorohedoro lol. Not too many other series like it. Season 2 got announced but who the hell knows when it's dropping. Might be time to pick up the manga if you get impatient(wouldn't blame ya)

I am not familiar with the source material other then what you told us every now and then, but this figure looks absolutely incredible! ❤ Completely my vibe (well, except for the drool XD). Maybe I should watch the show... I feel people who manage to pick it up for the recent price feel like me when I finally got my Mushishi Ginko real action hero (for 50000¥ instead of the 16800¥ at release in January 2007): A mixture of lucky, happy, sad, guilty and broke XD

Wouldn't be the same without the drool lol I've spent a few hundred bucks more on some other figures/statues but they were like top tier holy grails for me so I'm alright with it. As long as I don't make it a habit...

I am really enjoying the series so far, hope to get to the manga soon. This figure is pretty cute but I wouldn't hunt it down for high after market but I would be open to something new/rerelease. I do think they would be perfect for nendo's for sure! Nice hearing your story along with it, thanks

those aftermarket prices are just too absurd for this figure but it really does feel like very little of these exist so I sorta get it

@@ZuccoFigures Yeah after market is interesting. I can understand the rarity aspect but the quality may not live up to the value, but if your a big fan, want something more rare, love the design, etc, then it gets into "grail" territory. Worth is up to each their own.

W. Truly beautiful figure. Are the movies or the anime (so far) good to experience the series for the first time or would you recommend the manga? Also, loved that second background music

Safest bet would be to just go with the Manga. I haven't had to time to sit down the anime myself but Episode 0 is weird and if they change the ending then who knows whats gonna happen(I forget if I left mentioning that in the video). Gitaroo Man is such a gem and The Legendary Theme (Acoustic or not) is one of my favorite videogame songs ever

I wonder if some artists are just wary of over commercialization. When you pour so much of your time and effort into something you want it to be appreciated. Finding it in the discount bin, ala demon slayer, is painful.
