That's what this film did for me, I barely knew a thing about Elvis and now I am obsessed!! I've realised that I actually love his music and that there were songs out there that I had heard but didn't realise were his. Also agree that Baz framed Austin very nicely and I now have a huge crush lol

In the summer of 1977 I considered myself a rock ‘n’ roll aficionado but I hadn’t really exposed myself to Elvis. Obviously I knew who he was. I was dating a guy who had a roommate who was obsessed with him. It was through that roommate that I started reading about him and listening to some of his records. Yes I said records. The summer continued and in August my boyfriend and I drove up to Massachusetts and visited my family. When we were driving back to New York we had the radio on and then They interrupted the music to tell us that Elvis had died. We were on the highway doing 60 miles an hour we pulled over. It’s just flattened me. I felt like I just got here and now he’s leaving. Something about this movie[ and I haven’t seen it yet] but looking at the interviews and the trailers, its bringing up what is turning out to be a long buried Sadness.

The young lady who conducted this interview was the most prepared and knowledgeable than anyone else who conducted interviews during the film’s media tour. Elvis died before she was born, but she had obviously done her research and seemed to have an innate sense of how Elvis changed our culture not only in music, but sexual mores, fashion and rebellion. I really enjoyed the insight in her questions to the artists that elicited such great responses. Well Done!

I was awestruck at Austin’s portrayal of Elvis. And I know it took him a couple of years to nail Elvis and he succeeded. I’ve always been a huge Elvis fan and I felt like I was truly watching him. And the impact of the ending…tears streamed down my face. Just as they did when I saw Elvis in person one year before he died. Austin is so humble, kind, respectful of Elvis’s memory and his family…a very well spoken young man. Just loved this film and what it said to us. Thank you all. Tom Hanks was amazing as always. Fantastic interview with an incredible interviewer who had done her research and had a keen interest in the subject. She was so articulate and smart, asked insightful questions that encouraged the trio to give really expansive answers. Austin and Baz looked so impressed and you can tell they were excited to talk about Elvis beyond the surface level observations most interviews mention and they were happy that the interviewer was really interested in their answer . I loved the part where Austin described when he started to feel like he could really be Elvis.

Everything was so still and quite then you begin to not only hear cries from the neighbors but you feel the tears welling up in your eyes! It was as if a big part of my childhood was wiped away in a single moment. Not so much that it was Elvis we lost it was again losing another part of ourselves. Um one thing Olivia got wrong in this interview, they (Priscilla & Elvis) were not in the middle of WWII in Germany. Elvis was in the army from 1958-60, well after WWII. That being corrected, I can honestly say as an Elvis fan since age 3 in 1956, this movie was incredible. Austin was amazing as Elvis. I've seen every Elvis movie he himself made, every movie about Elvis starring other people and I've never, ever felt like this about any other movie about Elvis. If I could, I'd personally thank Baz & Austin for bringing Elvis back to life for a couple of hours. I've raved about this movie and Austin's portrayal to everyone I know. You can tell this movie took along time, two years to produce. It's not like they all got together for 3 months and then wrapped, which is the way Kurt Russell's movie was made and Rhys- Myers too. This was a work of love for Baz and Austin. And took Austin a long time to nail Elvis character.

Elvis made 31 films which is quite amazing but he has said that the one film he never saw was "Jailhouse Rock" and it's due to the tragic loss of his costar Judy Tyler who tragically died in a car accident after she finished filming the film. That death really affected him very deeply because he shared a close friendship with the actress.

I enjoy Elvis's songs, but I never really knew anything about his life. This movie, Laz, Austin, everyone in this project helped humanize Elvis, seeing him as more than just an icon or celebrity. I love that Priscilla approves of this movie, and the fact that they did their research and even spoke with Elvis' family for the biopic. The time and effort they put in is undeniable. They deserve all the praise for the hard work. I really hope Austin wins an award for this role, and Laz was a genius in the style of the movie. The movie is 👌🏻. I haven't seen any other portrayals of Elvis, though I've wanted to. After this movie, I don't know if I care to see the others; I feel they won't compare.😝 I wish them all the best in their careers. Like others have said, thank you all for the hard work, humanizing Elvis, and bringing him to life for us who didn't have the privilege to attend any of his concerts. Great respect for them, and condolences to the family. This movie is special. R.I.P. Elvis Presley. You are most certainly not forgotten.💛

I have always loved Elvis. And this movie was so touching and taught me how much he sacrificed for his family and for his fans. Austen played him so well. At times it was like watching the real Elvis. I had so many feelings watching this. And how he was apart of breaking seregation laws. He was such a big soul. Parker I though Tom Hanks played so good too. But I hated what he did to Elvis and his family. Elvis would of still been with us today. So I'm believe Parker was part of his dimise. But either way one of the best movies I've seen in so long I've actually watched it five times already. Fantastic work 👏👏Bless Elvis 🙏 Thank you for giving us the truth. I grew up in the 60s and 70s, Elvis was a "little" before my time, but he had a resurgence of popularity in the early 1970s. Congratulations to Austin Butler's answer it was Elvis' charisma young girls were drawn to. I know Hollywood thinks it was the "sexiness" from a lustful point of view, but it really wasn't. You see thats where boys and girls are different. Boys are focused on lust in their teen years, but girls are focused on Romance. They adore young men who are their heroes, who love them only, and would sacrifice to save them. THOSE were the songs Elvis sang. From the heart. THAT is why the girls were "hysterical" ... he unlocked the key to their hearts.
