Spa Guy’s video can be found here -- • Elvis Presley Lost Amb...
Elvis Aaron Presley[a] (January 8, 1935 - August 16, 1977) was an American singer and actor. Dubbed the "King of Rock and Roll", he is regarded as one of the most significant cultural icons of the 20th century. His energized interpretations of songs and sexually provocative performance style, combined with a singularly potent mix of influences across color lines during a transformative era in race relations, led him to both great success and initial controversy.
Presley was born in Tupelo, Mississippi, and relocated to Memphis, Tennessee, with his family when he was 13 years old. His music career began there in 1954, recording at Sun Records with producer Sam Phillips, who wanted to bring the sound of African-American music to a wider audience. Presley, on rhythm acoustic guitar, and accompanied by lead guitarist Scotty Moore and bassist Bill Black, was a pioneer of rockabilly, an uptempo, backbeat-driven fusion of country music and rhythm and blues. In 1955, drummer D. J. Fontana joined to complete the lineup of Presley's classic quartet and RCA Victor acquired his contract in a deal arranged by Colonel Tom Parker, who would manage him for more than two decades. Presley's first RCA Victor single, "Heartbreak Hotel", was released in January 1956 and became a number-one hit in the United States. Within a year, RCA would sell ten million Presley singles. With a series of successful network television appearances and chart-topping records, Presley became the leading figure of the newly popular sound of rock and roll.
In November 1956, Presley made his film debut in Love Me Tender. Drafted into military service in 1958, Presley relaunched his recording career two years later with some of his most commercially successful work. He held few concerts, however, and guided by Parker, proceeded to devote much of the 1960s to making Hollywood films and soundtrack albums, most of them critically derided. In 1968, following a seven-year break from live performances, he returned to the stage in the acclaimed television comeback special Elvis, which led to an extended Las Vegas concert residency and a string of highly profitable tours. In 1973, Presley gave the first concert by a solo artist to be broadcast around the world, Aloha from Hawaii. Years of prescription drug abuse and unhealthy eating habits severely compromised his health, and he died suddenly in 1977 at his Graceland estate at the age of 42.
On the evening of Tuesday, August 16, 1977, Presley was scheduled to fly out of Memphis to begin another tour. That afternoon, Ginger Alden discovered him in an unresponsive state on a bathroom floor. According to her eyewitness account, "Elvis looked as if his entire body had completely frozen in a seated position while using the toilet and then had fallen forward, in that fixed position, directly in front of it. ... It was clear that, from the time whatever hit him to the moment he had landed on the floor, Elvis hadn't moved." Attempts to revive him failed, and his death was officially pronounced at 3:30 p.m. at the Baptist Memorial Hospital after being taken there in this ambulance.

Fantastic story and one of the few parts of Elvis's story that wasn't touched on by anyone until a video clip was discovered with the ambulance leaving Graceland, a company was going to show Elvis a customized van that day and instead accidentally filmed his ambulance roaring out of Graceland headed for the hospital. Threw a heck of a lot of work Billy the spa guy actually found the ambulance ! And now thanks to you, the spa guy, and Jordan the lion we get to hear a whole new set of stories and facts about the man himself Elvis!

My dad died on the same exact day as Elvis in 1977 when I was just 22 months old. My mom was a huge Elvis fan and then finds my dad dead on our farm later that same day. So Aug 16th is never a good day for my family. Love your videos.

Lala I'm so sorry about your dad. I like your Mom am a huge Elvis fan. I grew up listening to Elvis & watching his movies. If I live to be 200 yrs old I would never forget what I was doing when I found out he died. I had just had surgery so I could have children. I was by myself laying in a hospital bed and looking at the TV and it scrolled across the bottom of the screen. I was devastated! It was like I had lost a family member. July 4th of 1978 my son was born.

Oh Scotty. My heart started beating so fast when I saw the title of this video. As you know I am one of the biggest fans of Elvis. Have to mention my kids too. They all love Elvis very much. I am waiting to go back to Graceland as soon as we are allowed to leave Australia. Been there twice and have to go again. Actually was going to ask you about going to Graceland when you were showing us you were in Tennessee but I did not want to bother you. I have watching and communicating with Spa Guy for quite some time. Haven’t seen the ambulance yet but can’t wait. This video done by you is incredible. I didn’t know whether to cry or be happy because I was watching the ambulance from so close and with you talking about it made it more special. I did feel some emptiness inside me. Thanks Scotty for this one. Really special for me. Waiting for your other Elvis videos to come. Will you be going to Tupelo? I loved it there. I just couldn’t leave the statue of young Elvis there. He was so real. All the best Scotty. Lots of love from your family Downunder.,🇦🇺❤️🤗✌🏼💕🙏🏼

It's still makes me sad. Being so young when he died it still stuns me that he was only 42. He was passed before his ride in the ambulance, death wasn't made official until there was a doctor present for official declaration of death. The erroneous t.o.d. I think caused a lot of the mystery and conspiracy theories to be born, he was so famous and so loved but he was a very sick, drug addicted human being. I think part of his issues seemed from the people around him that used him, abused him and forgot that, despite him being larger than life, he was just a man. An extremely good looking, extremely talented man.

Awesome!! I love Elvis. Went to Nashville last year and did the RCA Studio tour. They let you sit at the piano that Elvis would sit at to warm up. He tried to buy it when he moved to a new studio but RCA wouldnt let him. Said not even for the great Elvis will we sell this. They talk about he had different colors in the studio for the type of song he recorded. The best story was when they were trying to convince Elvis to record are you lonesome tonight. He didn’t want to- said it didn’t suit him. The producer finally got him to agree but Elvis said, only 1 take- that is it. They asked what color lights and Elvis said only lights on our music stand. Next time you listen to that song, at the end you will hear a faint thump. That was Elvis bumping his head in the microphone when he leaned forward, as the instrumental was concluding so they couldn’t take it out. Because Elvis said they could only do 1 take, they had to leave it in.

In nursing school, My BSN, RN nurse instructor told us she assisted in his autopsy. She told us how he died. He was severely constipated, and there's a nerve that he put too much pressure on which caused a heart attack. His official cause of death is heart attack, but actually, he had many health issues from the drugs. Enlarged heart, diseased liver, and low functioning kidneys.

Yea he has a toxic megacolon didn't he ? Some kind of cardiac arrest from that ? So sad I've heard he would have accidents on stage and have multiple if the same costume so if he did he could get changed because they gave him all these laxatives. Poor man today he'd likely be alive

WOW it seems like I have seen this ambulance 🚑 before in A different video. It's still really sad that Elvis died so young. I would absolutely love to hear the 911 call. I think that it's super cool that they ended up with the actual ambulance that transported Elvis from his home to baptist hospital 🏥. Thank you Scott for sharing this with me ‼️ Have a awesome evening ‼️👍🏽.

I remember this so distinctly. I had just moved to the south from up North. I just came in from school and it was announced and I could not stop watching and couldn't believe what I was hearing...😢

Great work on this video, Scott! Billy (Spa Guy) does fantastic work and research with his Elvis videos. I myself got to get to the Tiger Man Museum in the very near future. That call is definitely something. To think is exists today is simply amazing.

Fascinating video Scott, thank you for sharing it. Who knew there was a recording of the telephone call for an ambulance? I've never heard about that before, but I suppose it's not something you think about. Again, thanks for this, I shall certainly be watching the video by the Spa Guy 😊
