What a sweet man and a kind soul. Thank you for sharing this story. God Bless you both. Even after all these years, it still amazes me how Elvis deeply touched so many of us. I was nine when Elvis passed and I remember not only crying at the news, but also feeling a personal loss. I'd never met Elvis or saw him in concert. But, I watched his movies, when I'd catch them on television. I'd hold up my tape recorder to the speaker and record the songs. My Dad would play Elvis tapes in the car, so I guess that's probably how I came to know about him. My parents passed in the 80s, so I never got to ask them about their love of Elvis of the impact of his passing on them. But, from watching archival footage, his passing affected people around the world. It still does. Now, with Lisa Marie passing just two weeks ago, I'm saddened again. The news has also caused me to reflect on 1977 and that opened the door to a lot of other memories around that time.

Billy this has to be the most incredible story I think you've done. Watching his emotional reaction to reliving that day in August was heartbreaking. It transported me back to that time in history. Watching him get emotional started my water works. I'm so thankful he went over and beyond to save this equipment and to Dr. Nick for providing him with the proper documentation to the equipment. Thank you Billy for this incredible story. And God Bless Mr McQueen.

No Peggy, My wife died because she had fluid around her heart. I stayed with her 21 days and nights in the hospital as they tried to remove the fluid with no luck. They said they had done all they could and I would have to find another place for her, I brought her home and she died the next night. It was a marriage made by God and we spend 56 lovely years together in a lovely marriage. She was the only lady in my life and I loved her so very vey much, even tho it's been about 9 months I still cry every time I think about her or go to our burned out home. It's why I made such a mess of the Spa guy's video, I got to thinking about my wife and Elvis at the same time. God Bless you. (Mac)

I grieve over Elvis all the time. He was good to my mother. She has asked me not to tell the story on social media. I have to respect that for now. Anyway I have loved Elvis since I was about ten. My jeep has sirius radio. They have an Elvis station. All Elvis 24/7. It is the only station allowed to be played in my car. That has been the rule for six years now. If I am not in the car, they damn well put it back to Elvis when they exit the vehicle. ;-) I hope you are feeling better, sir.

I worked in the funeral business in the early 80's in Knoxville, TN. I had to drive to Memphis one time to pick up a body & bring back to Knoxville for funeral & burial. I had the opportunity to meet the gentleman who embalmed Elvis & ask him questions about it. He assured me Elvis was indeed deceased! He showed me the specific preparation table that was used etc. Many people speculated it wasn't Elvis in the casket because he looked too thin compared to what his weight was just prior to passing! I tell people this IS normal. During the embalming process lots of fluid is taken off a body--especially when much of the apparent "weight" of a person is indeed fluid such as the case with Elvis. I have been a huge Elvis fan since childhood. Not to be morbid but I felt it a privilege to see a place where Elvis' body had been so lovingly prepared for burial. Other than that I had only been as close as the gates of Graceland (well before it was opened to the public because family still lived there). My experience is why I believe Elvis died that awful day. The Memphis embalmer assured me it WAS Elvis he worked on!! Long live The King!!

I was eight going on nine when Elvis died, i became a fan a year or so after he died since I don’t remember the time when he passed. I collected his records, they sounded so good on my mom’s stereo. I remember seeing bumper stickers on cars saying “ the king is Dead “ probably made by fans trying to accept the fact that he is gone. First off, Mac is an incredibly strong and sincere man . What a blessing it must have been for you to be able to spend time with such a truly extraordinary and transparent individual. I like yourself could spend hours just listening to him not only in regards to Elvis but also in regards to his life and those that surround and love him. Truly a blessing. In closing, it reminded me of the time I got to spend with some close relative's of J.James that I got to stay with over a weekend in which I not only got to listen to the family stories but I was able to handle physical articles that he and his loved ones owned,as well as getting to view and read personal letters and ledgers that were in his own hand . To validate my previous recollection, there are 5 cameo's she owned ....yes I've viewed and held those very cameo's ,as well as a couple of other very noted articles . I can easily relate to you and your feelings in regards to someone else very well.

I am a SGF more and more everyday. This video was very interesting , but my opinion is ED. I believe that even though Elvis was DOA , they STILL tried desperately to bring him back. We cannot undo God's decision. Mac was a sweet , sincere man. I went through many bad things for several years after my husband passed as well. I know how the devil tries to break our faith. Not me! I love my Lord. I had a nervous breakdown , and God sent a 76 year old Godly woman to mentor me. She had several gifts of the Holy Spirit. Long story short , God LITERALLY hugged me using her arms , and spoke to me with her voice. He taught me how to have a closer relationship with him. I would love for you to do interviews with people who had supernatural experiences with God. He is amazing! P.S. They covered Elvis face , because they didn't want anyone to know it was him. Also , they rushed in fast in hopes to bring him back , and nobody looks the same when their body is dead or dying. Nothing odd about this.

She turned on the tv, the radio and started pulling out all her Elvis albums, sat on the living room floor with tissues and just bawled! It was so sad. People were very affected by his death. He had such a presence and really moved those he came in contact with from what people said (my mama saw him live when he was just starting out, before he was big. They got to meet him if I remember correctly and a friend she was with tried to jump off the balcony onto the stage...lol!). This man really expresses the way so many fans felt when the news broke that day.

I'm torn as to how I feel about Elvis. Part of me knows that he did lose his life due to the drugs he took but I would love to think that he got away from all that was killing him. He was a beautiful soul, so humble, so generous, he deserved to be happy in his life. He is truly loved and missed.

He touched my heart and tears just came down my eyes as he told his story. I do know that he has a lot of love for Elvis and if hugs could reach through our devices I know he would feel them all. I myself grew up with listening to Elvis as my father was a huge fan and he met him personally. Many beautiful memories were shared. Thank you for sharing this beautiful story

God Bless you Mac Your a Honest Man. I loved Elvis Too he is Gone. They tried to save him he was Elvis they always try. Its so sad Elvis is Gone ED there is no question. My friend knew him he is gone. End of Story. they were beating on him his chest and a nurse who knew Elvis Was Crying She said let him go he is gone. I wish Elvis did not lie and he would not have put his fans through this. Elvis was a great Human. The Greatest Singer Ever. We all loved Elvis and he would have been happy how many fans he has today and he would not want all the sad faces. He loved all of his fans. He had a massive Heart Attack he took several steps fell over and died. His Heart was enlarged and he did not OD or he would not have taken a step forward. Elvis is in Heaven now. Mac thank you your so sweet what a great man Of God. God bless you my brother your a sweet man. I know one day you will get to see your Wife and Elvis again and Mac you will be happy again. Elvis and her are Waiting in Gods loving Arms. Then you and all who serve him will never be away from him again. TCB Mac your the best my friend. Thank you for posting this. sad but beautiful video God bless you all and thank you.

Very interesting hearing this from someone other than the Memphis mafia. He genuinely loved E.P, he never sold any of the equipment, he just wanted something to remember Elvis from that final day and I am glad you got to interview him. 79,297 views as of 3/17/19

dear Mr. McQueen, first let me say that you sir, are my hope for my son to become. I am sure that from wherever he is, Elvis Presley has watched this video and just like the rest of us, was so proud he had to watch it again. I know you don’t need a reminder but you & the rest of us here are the reason Elvis did what he did, for you & for me. Elvis loved his fans more than anything. This is the most honest, heartfelt, & uninterrupted interview I’ve ever seen. Thank you for taking the time to tell your experience to all of us that love Elvis the way that you do. However, I’m not falling for the 85 year old bed though, I didn’t just fall off the turnip truck🙂 I can’t imagine what it was like being there, seeing that ambulance charging in& unloading a partially covered patient, & charging away with them, hearing the Dr.’s working on him & minutes later realizing it was The King of Rock & Roll on the other side of that door being worked on. I don’t think I’d ever get passed the inside of room #1. The magnitude of the entire experience probably would have later sent me into shock as the reality of it sank in. I’m sure room #1 was never the same for you again. Just as Elvis Presley is, I am honored to have been included in those who got to hear your story! Thank you Sir, I’ll never forget it! sincerely, Candi in North Carolina- ps i’d love to know your songs you wrote for him to sing, i’m sure they would’ve been absolute masterpieces, from a heart like yours and a voice like his- Masterpieces 😑 God Bless You
