There’s no professionalisms in NASCAR nowadays whether it’s on track or behind the scenes. Shame on RCR. What an embarrassment. I don’t like Creed but I’d like to see him win at Phoenix and I can gain respect on him again as an “f you and goodbye” to RCR. He deserves better.

Yeah and I wish the playoffs didn’t exist in Nascar so da drivers wouldn’t be racing like this anymore.

@@travisglantonthetowerenthusiasExactly my thoughts... Playoffs are the worst thing to happen in NASCAR after the phantom yellows/competition cautions and stage racing. As an outsider I cant really invest in the sport when I see BS like that...

If a sport has no rules. Don't get salty when you lose with no rules. It's that lack of penalty when blatantly taking out opponents that loses respect for Nascar. Rubbing is racing, the pit manoeuvre and brake checking is not.
@therealfanmaster

This reeks of saltiness and favoritism. Sheldon probably feels that Austin was being treated like the golden child and said stuff behind the scenes. I don't get why Sheldon is being blamed for Austin wrecking, Nemechek was the one who rammed into him. Sheldon did nothing wrong and really, this wouldn't be an issue if Allgaier didn't get his car together. Oh no, bumping and banging screwed you over? It's called playoff Martinsville, this is the bullshit that can happen in this scenario. We may not know the full story for years and I don't want to speculate on stuff I can't prove, but this looks pathetic on RCR. Oh and by the way Demise, been checking out your videos recently, like what I'm seeing. Good job.

I love how utterly stupid NASCAR fans are. Nemecheck is at fault for the wreck? Guess what, if his blind teammate with his coke bottle glasses and shit attitude didn’t fucking dump him multiple times he wouldn’t have gotten hit on the last lap. And Demise saying Creed is the more respectful one is just as stupid. What does he expect someone getting wrecked to say after the fact?

My opinion, I'm glad Creed is leaving RCR. Exactly what Creed said, if roles were reversed Petree and Childress would be consoling Hill. When a spot in the final 4 is on the line, do what you gotta do. I'm not a JGR fan but I hope he wins the championship next year.

Oh my DAYS, you can absolutely _hear_ Jeb Burton hit the wall. As for the incident with Hill and Childress shredding Creed, it's just typical RCR favoritism. They clearly favored Dale Earnhardt over Mike Skinner in the latter half of the 90s. They favored Harvick for much of his time there, until the Dillon brothers started coming up through the ranks. (There's probably a reason Ty Dillon has never driven for RCR in Cup.)
@KellieLeigh48

This whole situation is a low point. Childress and Petree were completely childish and had no business trashing Sheldon. I wasn't a fan of Creed brakechecking Hill (Data proved it) though. Both sides are wrong here.

I respect the opinions of my fellow NASCAR fans, but some people seem to be taking issue with Sheldon Creed "parking it" in the corner on the last turn there. I think that's a basic defensive technique when you know the hit is coming from behind. Harvick did the exact same thing to Denny Hamlin in Loudon to win the race a few years back. It also worked in his favor that he kinda overdrove turns 3 & 4 there at the end, and ended up smack dab in front of the 21 on the outside groove. Creed did everything right there to win, he just couldn't forsee the great run the 7 was gonna have and the unfortunate bulldozing by the 20 car. -my two cents.

Creed was clearly faster than Hill, and both were as fast or faster than Allgier. Hill should have allowed Creed to pass, and then held off Allgier for 2nd, and boom, both cars get in, and Nemecheck and Allgier get eliminated. In this scenario, RCR has a 50% chance of winning the championship. Instead, Hill wants to be a turd, doesn't allow the faster Creed by, gets mad when Creed roughs him up to get by (fair play in NASCAR), beats on Creed, his teammate, in retaliation, gets junked when Creed gets out of sorts both from the beating and banging and the mental stress and has to check up, and then Hill and the team pin the whole thing on Creed. Shoot, even if Creed DID intentionally brake check Hill, I almost couldn't blame him with Hill being so doggone stupid. This is all on Hill, and the clearly toxic culture at RCR. I wish Creed all the success in his new ride.

I'm a huge motorsports fan who never watches modern day NASCAR and every once in a while I wonder if I'm missing out....then I see something like this to confirm that nope, this isn't auto racing, this is ten carnival sideshow gimmicks, a demo derby and a bunch of sub-moronic dolts in search of a race. Never loved stock cars but in its heyday at least it still was racing and you had some amazing drivers and races. But with all these ridiculous gimmicks from other sports that fit in a car race and racing series like a square peg in a round hole like stages, overtime (!!) PLAYOFFS?? It's too stupid and has ruined this series. They may have gotten a few mouth breathers from other sports 'hey, they have OVERTIME cool!' but for every one of them they lost 5 actual racing fans. Plus the disgusting on-track behavior (i.e. brutally assaulting a driver you just intentionally badly crashed out) and off (the regular little baby, poor me stuff like Hill's interview) and the utterly classless statement by the owner....it's just gross. Which I suppose is why their TV #'s have just totally cratered, as has live attendance, and sponsors are bailing left and right. How you manage ruin a commercial juggernaut like NASCAR I have no idea...but they have.

RCR has had drivers beefing since they went to a 2-car operation, Dale Sr, Mike Skinner, Harvick endless enemies and bullshittery, Jeff Green and Robby Gordon. RCR has had a problem for a while now and RC refuses to fix it. Harvick, Reddick, and others have left RCR over the years. Make you wonder why. Creed did nothing wrong and is racing for his guys and sponsors. To quote The Iceberg, "I wouldn't blame him if he doesn't show up at Phoenix at all or starts and parks the car."

I'm copy pasting what I said on Reddit in defense of Creed The track was so messy they had to spend several hours into the night after the race, and the morning after it, and Gibbs knows how many gallons of Tide cleaning that shit up, and Austin Body Slammed Creed going into 3, which worked in tandem to cause Creed to need to check the fuck up to actually rotate the car, which still wouldn't have been that much of a problem if Austin wasn't sailing into the corner at Mach 12 to dump Creed. But all of that is irrelevant, Creed clearly just threw a tantrum and brake checked Austin, despite that beings the only move that guarantees his loss I don't know how anyone sees what Creed did as a brake check, but RCR has been absolutely ridiculous

Hill should’ve been told that if Creed gets in front let it happen and finish 2nd -3rd and both are in . And don’t beat the crap out of my cars !!! And all I see coming to Creeds defense are the Fans , commentators/ former drivers, but not 1 member of Creeds Crew came to his defense….. hell not even on Xfinity driver!! Tony should’ve hired Creed I thinks I’m becoming a fan of his !!!

Haven't watched NASCAR for many many years (and definitely not going back to ever since they went to stage racing), but it's reconfirming to know that Andy Petree gives off the same shithead energy as he did calling races in the booth years ago. As for the finish and context aside, it was an exciting conclusion to an overtime race which honestly could've ended disastrously a lot sooner from all the loosey-goosey movement in the front going on. I don't think the 21 should've side checked the 2 on the back stretch heading into Turns 3 and 4 as opposed to coming out of said turns but that's just me. When you factor in the drama after the race, it seems like there's more underlying problems for the way RCR lashed out at Creed the way that they did.

Well, according to Bologna Burger, "unprofessionalism brings personality to the sport" which I'm sorta on the fence about that. See, I like to have drivers and team owners to have opinions and all that it's just these guys have to be very careful about what they say cuz it could bite them in the ass. Take MTJ's infamous words from the 2018 Martinsville race for an example. All I'm saying is there's healthy unprofessionalism and there's toxic unprofessionalism and RCR has the toxic kind.

It was totally unprofessional for Childress to call Creed one of stupidest drivers while he’s still driving for them. They could of told Hill to hold his position and both of them would of made it in but got absolutely nothing out of it. No wonder they lost Harvick and Reddick, rcr is totally dysfunctional as a organization

I love the history videos because there is a lot of old racing that I've missed out on, but I think it's fine to also do current events like this from time to time. When it's big news, people enjoy their content creator's takes on it because that's who we trust to be informed and perhaps even see a detail we missed. That being said, if Creed did in fact intentionally brake check as others have said then I get why he's drawing ire. Maybe he shouldn't be the only one but that was certainly the most directly visible act of it all.

I think it looks like creed brake checked him out the final turn, otherwise it doesn't explain why he was so slow exiting said corner. That is what most people are missing, it wasn't the door banging, it was the race ending block that caused the huge ot wreck that everyone should be pissed about.

maybe this is just me but i would have no problems with everything creed did in the 2 laps (i think?) if he won lol. but he did all that trying to defend hill and still lost just makes this shit 10x worst imo, remove the wins from hill and he is basically ahead of creed of every single statistical stat you can think off. Hell his teammate won the regular season championship while he barley locked himself into the playoffs by points

Creed’s appearance has nothing to do with his racing ability. Very few NASCAR drivers are going to be given modeling jobs, most are too damn short. When two drivers get in an actual fight, our family calls it midget wrestling. I would like to hear you describe what a NASCAR driver should look like. I guess that big red face whiny titty-suck putting down a man he had just said was a friend was more what you wanted to see in a driver. Go figure.
