No I thought the FIRST meeting was while she was still married, but the story in this clip was after their second meeting when they finally MET met, which was after her separation, and exchanged contact info. She had a DIFFERENT date at this party, but not Stamos. (In fact I remember a rumor that date may have been John Cusack.) That was always my understanding, because I do remember in prior interviews with one or the other, they'd chatted at the first party but they openly admit she was still with Stamos at that point.

He's just REEEEEALLY animated... Not uncommon for many GenXers who grew up on sitcoms & slapstick. I refer to it as the Jim Carey effect... But it's basically a personality type that occurs from forming your identity around the characters you see on television rather than real interactions with real live people.
