I know a lot of people think that the Emperor treated her wrongly by not giving her a posthumous title but she really did want nothing to do with him, even after death. The emperor had finally realized he couldn’t win her back so separating her from history and any mention and tie to him was giving her the freedom she wanted. She never wanted to be empress, just a faithful wife and in the end she didn’t want that dream either (orchid beginnings still end) even the cutting of his own hair represents the final act of separation, along with living with the guilt of years of abuse towards Ruyi. It’s at that moment when he passes she’s free and youthful like she was in the beginning of it all, before an established relationship with Hongli (the reason why the green plum started to bloom again) Ruyi wasn’t Ruyi anymore, she became the youthful QingYing of her youth, free from the forbidden palace and the Emperors torment. I think the point I’m trying to say is, if you truly love someone, let them be free. Don’t hold them in place for selfish reasons. Ruyi wanted to be free and no longer in a forbidden and trapped life.

I love this story/drama I stay pissed watching and at the end I cried every time I watch it! She really suffered for her love. I’m truly happy that the writers didn’t make her go back to him but show him that she not only didn’t forgive him but didn’t want to be by his side not even in a painting! I only wished that he spoke out his regrets and cried for forgiveness at the end but it’s still a great drama!!! Great actors great story!!!! My FAVORITE OF ALL TIME!!!

I've watched this scene many times and there is so much emotion. The emperor came to "grovel" and try to get Ruyi back as the empress and his wife; even going so far as telling her to "forget the past". After responding the "past is only a faint memory", she remains silent after his comment and as he's turning to leave she recites a verse from a script, telling him they're over. Rejecting any notion of reconciling. Before he leaves she wishes him well in the future. Bidding him goodbye since she knows she's dying. Her task accomplished. The evil was punished. She was vindicated. She could leave this world at peace and gain her freedom.

The Empress Dowager speaks truly. She knew that Ruyi didn't care about power, title, or being an empress. Ruyi is a loyal woman who sacrificed everything to be with the man she loves most. Qianlong said that he's alone at the top. Ruyi climbed no matter how hard it was or what trouble was ahead when she climbed there. She didn't care. She was there at the top of a mountain together with Qianlong because of love, nothing else. But like everyone else, Ruyi is just a woman who will fall in love and sacrifice. But once she has had enough, she will let go, no matter how painful it will be. But she goes down to the mountain smoothly and with peace. And once again, Qianlong is alone at the top of the mountain. While Ruyi is at peace and happy on the other side of life, there is no pain or regret in letting him go. The Empress Dowager gave a warning to Ruyi when she was about to become an Empress that she should not give all her heart to the emperor. Because the emperor's heart is hard to hold and to have. But Ruyi ignores it because she really loves Qianlong. Ruyi's mistake is that she didn't listen to the Empress Dowager. Loving Qianlong is not a mistake; they fell in love when they were young, called youth love. But like the previous emperor, Qianlong becomes like his father and Ruyi becomes like her aunt. Ruyi and her aunt loved their emperor to the point that they didn't pay attention to themselves. They sacrificed everything and didn't get the love they needed. The difference is that her aunt didn't have a youth love like Ruyi and Qianlong. And I know from the very start that Qianlong sits on the throne. Hongli is gone. The man that Qing Ying love is gone. There is no Hongli there anymore. If only Ruyi listen to Empress Dowager.

Ruyi's aunt was also evil. She killed many of the royal heirs and feuded with the other concubines including Zhen Huan (Empress Dowager), which is why she hated Ruyi in the beginning. But as time went by she realized that Ruyi was nothing like her aunt. She was kind-hearted and sincere and truly did not care about power or status. It's truly sad that Qianlong did not see it until it was too late.

The empress dowager knew the temparement of emperors all too well. She knew that in the end, they're all the same. Doesn't matter how much they claim to love a certain woman, they will betray her at the end. Qianlong was too doubtfull, he never believed ruyi was innocent, he claimed to believe her but he never truly did.

Императрица , зная что долго не проживет отказалась видеться с наложницами, да ещё отказалась забрать свиток и сокровище. Намёк был им всем, но только одна наложница догодалась, что с ней не так. Император ещё раз наказал её после смерти. Какие бы причины он не придумал, всё равно поступил очень не красиво, и подло. Но после этого, не был удовлетворен всё равно. А что он хотел? По каким то сфабрикованным уликам и лживыми доказательствами он наказывал её ни за что. И не извинялся ни разу. А пытался как то исправить свои грехи, какими то подарками, и просил забыть обо всем. Разве такие дела можно было забыть? Она была слишком гордая, чтоб что то забыть. Она всячески давала понять ему, что не прощает его. Правильно сделала, что не простила. Этому диктатору, надо было показать, что он не прав во многом.

Туберкулез легких бывает в заразной(открытый) и не заразной (закрытый) форме, если бы у нее была открытая форма, императора бы к ней никто не пустил. Скорее всего она сама не хотела никого видеть(в болезненном состоянии так бывает, не хочется соблюдать этикет и быть любезной, когда тебе херово) и тем более не хотелось что бы ее видели такой слабой и потом судачили по всему гарему, а императорские врачи кружили бы над ней в бессилье ей помочь. Не думаю что она знала о том что ее болезнь может перекинуться на других, скорее, а даже если и знала что не заразна, а просто смертельно больна, то она просто устала ото всех и действительно, хотела расслабиться и прейти в покой перед смертью.

Опять пересматриваю и сравниваю с другим похожим сериалом на ту же тему. Они разные,,оба прекрасно посталенные и сыгранные. В обоих сериалах прекрасные, таланливые актеры. Об этом императоре очень противоречивые сведения, тем более, что о нем больше писали противники и иностранцы. Интересный был правитель, но боже сохрани жить в то время.❤

He has other wives having him more kids so her two kids death hit different for her than him.
