Well, this was a pretty awesome thought experiment! And having read through the comments, I'm happy to have learned that you are taking all that feedback and intend to "retcon" it for the better! I'm not finished listening to it, so I hesitate to provide my own feedback, yet, other than for someone with the powers and perspective of Big E, Chaos; should seem more of a known and controllable foe, compared to stuff that was unknown in his time, like the Great Devourer or the Necron Awakening... Which could be argued are both in the process of claiming the Galaxy, Warp and all...?

I know it's fan fiction, but it reads like fan fiction too. The concept is fascinating, but the execution is poor, at least in the first 20 min. My criticism is mainly on how little thought the emperor gives upon the destruction of terra. Terra is the place where he lived for more than 40k years, the birthplace of humanity, and its collapse in the warp is seen as almost an afterthought. Let's also think about what does the golden throne do, the golden throne basically prevents the deamons who came from the webway after magnus breached it to get on terra. If it failed obliviously terra would be invaded, maybe fall to demons, but not engulfed and swallowed by the warp, along the solar system. Aside from terra you got also mars, whose destruction would basically spell doom for the imperium. A better way to describe this would have the custodes fight a new war within the webway, with chaos spreading like wildfire upon the throneworld. You could then go in many directions from now on, but you should always consider the consequences and echoes on your narrative.

@@40kNexus In the war of the beast novel series, it is mentioned that should anything happen to Terra, the imperial fists successor chapters have the LAST WALL protocol. Basically the imperial fists legion is reformed. Should anything happen to terra, aside from the custodians, the other space marine force to intervene would be the imperial fists chapter proper. In your scenario, with terra under siege by demons, all imperial fists successors would rush there, including black templars, crimson fists, etc... Thinking about this, what would happen is a second siege of terra from within the imperial palace, the defenders fighting the demons pouring from within the palace. Does the emperor know how to seal the breach or have an alternative to the astronomicon? These two objectives are the win conditions for the imperium. in the worst case scenario, you could have the emperor forced to exterminatus terra, however unlikely that may be.

Actually, The Golden Throne has a dead man’s switch installed called the Talisman of Seven Hammers which would indeed destroy Terra and probably most of the solar system if The Emperor dies. It was installed by Vulkan.

Maybe sprinkle some Erda and John Grammaticus into this story. The dynamic between Erda and Grammaticus the Emperor and Malachdor. Like behind when they all met and what transpired..? What split them,why did Malcador stay,what finally made John leave and when did Erda understand what she needed to do. Any fan-fiction that was from Erda's prospective or John G's would be awesome. What if Grammaticus was actually the perfect being that they all re-encarated to an Erda and Malachdor knew that Grammaticus held the true power but fears to use it and Big E and John are twins....😮 or Father and son..which is the father? Which the son?

Good story,but needs its OWN book.....in my opinion the emperor should be far more powerful.....he is a being so powerful that battling him is 1 sided and swift...something as close to a god without being a god!

@@DerekPuckett-gj9rq yea I was trying to write it at first where he was just wiping the floor with everyone but then it makes for less interesting battles lol although I'm currently trying to see if I can write a clever way where he destroys the warp entirely. This only being possible because of the massive power boost from enduring the golden throne, Goku style, which might help explain why he would allow himself to end up on the golden throne but I'm not committed to that one yet

The story is interesting and pretty well written but I struggle a lot with the inconsistent pronunciation. I know that some channels that use AI voices seem to have a real problem with this and not all the names are easy to pronounce but hearing the same word pronounced differently from one sentence to the next, it does take me out of the story a bit.

Sorry I'm working on that. Even when I can get it to pronounce properly the inflections can vary and emphasis on different syllables as well lol it's madness I might try voicing the next one myself. I have a good mic but I've got kids that can't be quiet for more than a minute or two

Good story but your narration needs some work. The characters need their own voices to differentiate between the story telling and the characters speaking parts. The monotone reading is not the way to go. Put some life in it. Cheers.
