Great video, music, and scenery. Friends and complete the Enchantment loop earlier this fall. I highly recommend it, but be aware that getting in shape for this 22-mile journey is key. We were 12 trekking hours on the trail, 14 total with stops for lunch and breaks along the way. Headlamps in the fall are essential and be prepared for Aasgard Pass after you pass Colchuck Lake. Slow and steady wins the day with this steep ascent into the Enchantment Lakes region. A one-day permit is not hard to access. It is the overnight permits that are a challenge. This is a hike/experience of a lifetime. I hope you find time to experience the beauty of the area. Super video. Thanks for bringing back the memories.

Thanks. Wonderful advice. As for Asgard it helps if you live above 7,000ft. 😆 I’d add to this that trying to hike this in a day is not easy no matter how old/young you are. People do it all the time though.

I know right! I came around a very narrow corner and there it was. There wasn’t really anywhere to go. Then the baby came into view! I pushed backwards as far as I could and then all three of them passed by me. Thankfully, because there was a huge cliff right behind me and there wasn’t anywhere else I could go. But it was a magnificent moment indeed! They are so pretty 😍

Very nice!! I have not been lucky with a permit yet, have been trying the lottery for 8 years now. :( Next year, I will do a through hike if I don’t get a permit.

I know that feeling, the lottery is a tough one, but keep at it! Because a through hike is not an easy thing to do. But if that’s the only only way, train, train, and train some more. Best of luck, it is fantastic. 🤞
