@@coughsyrupconnoisseur It accomplishes the same thing but that's more of an exploit. It's clear they didn't really think of a House/Yes Man Enclave option and it is kind of awkward. The driving conflict with the Enclave get together is that they hate both sides and there's a third option looming over them that they don't acknowledge. At least have some extra dialogue with Moreno if you're on the House route to circumvent the Wild Child rep if you don't have it. It's just odd how House and the Enclave don't really talk about each other but House wants the Brotherhood exterminated.

I haven't played New Vegas, but I suppose in a way, both. He seems too wrapped up in the past without considering the present/future either way, and too weak to simply let go and move on. Though, in his world, I can see why some might choose to reopen old wounds in the face of the Wasteland, rejecting progress by sticking to what they're comfortable with.

Well, I wouldnt say that they are a stereotypical cartoon villain in Fallout 2. They werent, like, "I do atrocities for no reaon at all and my only character trait is being evil". They were more like ww2 germany, doing this things to others to be the "superior race", a thought the enclave really had, seeing as they hated everyone not enclave born. Also, there are genuine friendly characters in the enclave. Take the cook, also from fallout 2, for example, or some of the base guards when you are posing as a guard yourself. I dont know how they are depicted in fo 3, 4 or 76, as I didnt play them, but for the case of fallout 2 I would disagree with you and say that they were a threat that was to be taken seriously, unlike most cartoon villains are, as theire existence is mostly solely to be evil. And as said, idk Bathesta fallout, but in fo2 they are a deep, multi-facetted faction. If you dont know fallout 2 and youd like to learn more about them, Id recommend the fo2 lore playlist from Oxhorn, he went into full detail taking the game lore appart step for step and explaining references and stuff.

@@ПавелУшкин-п7р I don’t think very many people honestly like Caesar’s Legion. It’s a garbage nation run by an intelligent but unwise dictator with no long-term plan for stability. It is possible to hate both the NCR and Legion, though. The NCR is pretty clearly a corrupt and inefficient state which is overstretched both socio-politically and militarily. It also engages in typical back-room geopolitics, where inconvenient groups like the Kings or BoS are (usually covertly) eliminated instead of negotiated with. I personally don’t hate it, but I view the NCR as the lesser evil compared to the Legion… I think House has more potential for the restoration of humanity in the long-term. The NCR, if it rebuilds, will take another century and likely more to actually become well-established, and that’s if it doesn’t stagnate and/or collapse, which is not a trivial possibility.

honestly it never made sense to me for the NCR and Brotherhood to hunt Enclave survivors like animals. more realistic would be like post WW2 were survivors are captured for thier skills. The NCR would benefit disproportionately better then the brotherhood, however a handful of Enclave scientists brought into the brotherhood would definitely have boosted their survivability at the powerplant. The narrative of the brotherhood of steel being more paranoid/overzealous than practical rings true here. I don't think they'd trust anyone who was originally aligned with their nemesis faction anyway, although I don't blame them for that much as I doubt the enclave would enjoy the idea either even under threat of death. No. theyre the only faction making attempts to save humanity and build civilization by colonizing another planet or rehabilitating earth All these vault experiments are meant to simulate life in a space ship, testing social issues, cryogenics, cramp spaces, overpopulation, isolation, rules, chemicals, brain transplants, etc that they expect to face in a space ship while traveling to find another planet. Fallout 2 enclave: "all vaults working perfectly as we intended" And this is why they have access to the vault doors through PoseidoNET Rehab earth plan went to shit as Wes Tek's Fev broke out into the air as they got hit directly by a nuke. Now every mutation you see in the wasteland are caused by FEV, according to the master and the overseer in fo1. Only exception may be the mirelurks' mutation, but like surface humans mutation or not they still have strands of fev now. Only the enclave made attempts to cure that. Sure, a lot of people will die in the process, but a lot more will die from supermutants, deathclaws, yao guais, giant bugs, raiders, feral ghoulification, and more. So far only the institute is ridiculously evil. All those atrocities and their fans still struggle to even explain what they want other than "because scientific curiosity". Supermutants and all that jazz.

I can't tell if the people here supporting the Enclave are serious or not- Like, in Fallout 3, the Enclave actively cause genocide for the "sake of survival", killing innocent scientists who just want to bring clean water to the Wasteland, and then later attempt to spike said purifier with modified FEV that will kill almost everyone that isn't 100% pure and clean of radiation. Hell, in the exact mission you get to grab Moreno and the Enclave Remnants, the person asking you to do it, Arcade, he literally says "The Enclave did a lot of bas things." Let that be a lesson. Every organization has good people in it. People just doing what they think is right. And the Enclave believed that the ends justified the means. And they were wrong.

Realistically the Enclave had the best chance to end the post apocalyptic wasteland and get things moving towards prewar levels of quality of life. Yes it wouldve meant alot people wouldve died, but so would the Deathclaws, Super Mutants, Nightstalkers, raiders, slavers, etc. basically 99% of what could kill you in the Fallout Universe would be gone and humanity would be free to rebuild. In the simplest terms those who support the enclave believe that sacrifice is okay as long as it has tangible results that better the world as a whole. Those who claim the Enclave are irredeemably evil believe that sacrifice is unacceptable unless every participant is willing, regardless of how (in)effective it may actually be.
