I love how you can see how much Dom meant to Baird and Cole since their personalities completely change after hearing the news. Cole, usually a cheerful, energetic guy, is genuinely filled with vengeful rage. Baird, the sarcastic asshole that never shuts up, completely shuts down and doesn't know what to say. Also, I noticed how Marcus's reaction to his father's death is the exact same body language Dom had when he saw Maria in 2; falling to his knees and looking back at his friends, not knowing what to do.

I love how they decided his fate before the game released. There were two shirts in the Xbox Avatar store. One that said "Carmine Must Live" and one that said "Carmine Must Die" depending on which one sold more would decide his fate.

Honestly, the other games are pretty good. Gears of War: Judgement follows Baird and Cole earlier in the war. Gears of 4 picks up _decades_ later and starts to explore the unanswered questions, and Gears 5 delves deep into the world's secrets.

Not saying they didn't do the series justice, it feels like a Gears game, but story wise it felt like fan fic really. At least with the Locust part. Also some of the characters where pretty weak which is a problem with such a limited cast.

Here is some context for Judgement and Raam's Shadow Judgment is a Prequel and it focuses on Baird's and Cole's squad before the events of Gears 1. It lightly talks about the UIR vs COG war before the Locust showed up. Raam's shadow is also a Prequel of Gears 1 and it talks about Jace's previous squad, along with some multiplayer characters. It gives the power of what Raam is capable of, something that wasn't fully shown in Gears 1. Hopefully, this helps, I enjoy your reactions to all of the events of both Halo and Gears of War. I cannot wait for what's to come!

marcus got his scar while he was in the slab, a guard there didnt like him and was attacking him and always burning the lettera anya would send him, one day marcus and his “friend” were walking through the cell blocks when the guard cut them off with the gates leaving just marcus trapped with dogs and he had to fight and kill all the dogs but one of them got his face and ripped a good chunk almost off, he was able to escape and get medical treatment

Also, a fun fact about Carmine in Gears 3: Even though the Carmines were a bit of a gears twist on the Red Shirts from Star Trek, Epic Games determined Clayton's fate by actually asking/polling the fans if the new Carmine (Clayton) should live or die in Gears 3!

If you play judgement be sure you go to the gears symbols you find in between areas if you get 400 stars which you get from them in challenges from the gears symbols do them all and get to at least 300 stars you gain access to a another campaign but that ties in another point of view of gears 3
