XC3 was my first XC game. And Boy was I not prepared for that combat style. Safe to say, I stopped playing after about 10 hrs. I just can't get back into it. Maybe; just maybe with the power of Dee by my side, I'll pick it up again.

In the beginning there was John Blanch (and probably a few others), and he was 'god', and I was there at the very beginning as this 'world' came into being (I was about 13/14 years old, am now 56), I watched it grow and grow, and I still have some of the original Space Marines ever cast... I never actually had a Space Marine army, I was always a massive fan of the Orks and had over 20,000 individual figures in my army, massively over powered, and loads of fun.....

only semi-related to this trailer specifically, but i found the fall of cadia animation/cutscene i was thinking of since last time its called "Battlefleet Gothic 2 Fall of Cadia" on a channel called Veda Ra. it combines the opening animation of the game with the ingame cutscene for a nice narrative experience. 2:23 since you said "what?": this is one of the most famous quotes by big E himself. bricky also repeated it during his factions video "They shall be my finest warriors, these men who give themselves to me. The Raptors are a Raven Guard Space Marines Succesors chapter Space Marines Chapters are kinda divided between Primogenitors and Succesors Chapters Primogenitors are the CHapters that kept the Space Marines Legions form the Great crusade and the Horus heresy, name's, colors and traditions. When Guilliman wrote the Codex AStartes that was the corner stone of the Imperium's Structures complet overhaul and reorganisations after the Horus Heresy, Space marines Legions where divided into smaller military organisations, called Chapters. One Chapter would keep the original legion's herladics, name and colours while the new Chapters that came from this reorganisation would choose a new name and colour scheme. And those Chapters are knowed as Succesors Chapters, most if not all of them kept names and colors that was somewhat related to their Primogenitors, and the Succesors consider their Legion's of origines Primarchs as their Primarch still So the Raptors chapter, still revere Corvus Corax, Primarch of the Raven Guard, as their Gene-Father ,as they share the same gene-seeds still. A LOT of Chapters where created during the Millenias after the heresy in subsequent "Foundings" (Foundings is the term used when new Chapters are created, the 1st Founding was when the Legions where divided into Chapters, thats why primogenitors chapters are also refered to as 1st Founding Chapters, there have been something like 25 or 26 Foundings till now) When a New Founding/Foundation is made on the orders of the High Lords of Terra, usually they use genestocks from the Giant vaults they have. Each Space marines chapters have to send a portion of their geneseeds back to Terra, 1- to control and manage the Geneseeds and test them for corruption or unsanctioned mutations beyond the acceptable parameters, 2- To avoid that a Chapter is totaly destroyed due to the lack of gene-seeds to make new recruits for the Chapter. So there is always a Stock of geneseeds on Terra (or mars? i can't remember). a HUGE CHUNK of Gene seeds used to make new chapters comes from the Ultramarines and thus from Roboute Guilliman, since it was deemed the most pure Genestock of all. There are rumours tho that some new Chapters can trace their geneseeds back to darker origines (it is implied in Lore than the Imperium still used viable genestocks from the Traitor Legions when they made new chapters within the couple first few Foundings due to stocks limitation at the time, after torough testing and inspection the Geneseeds where deemed untainted by Corruption since they where in these Vaults before the Horus Heresy, but no one says it out loud unless you want to be acquited with an Inquisitor's Interogation methods) Despite this, it is one of the reasons that some says that we still have some Loyalist chapters that turn to Chaos on occasions millenia's after the Horus Heresy. The 21st Founding is Infamous for the stroke of bad luck and heresy that blighted ALL the chapters created during this Founding, thats why the 21st Founding is also called the Cursed/Lost Founding, majority of it where either lost in the warp during warp travels, where completly destroyed on the battlefield or where victimes of uncontrollable unsanctioned mutations. A couple Turned heretic, either by choice of by circumstances and declared Excommuncate Traitoris.
