I’m curious about your homeschooling journey, you started with your oldest when she was 5 correct? Have you also started homeschooling Theo? Or does he do more like play school? Do you think he is ready now or will you wait to do more actually homeschool with him when he’s a little bit older? I’m hearing lots of different conversations on when you start homeschooling and most say to wait till they are older 5-6. And to not worry so much about trying to teach younger kids3-4. Because you can find yourself taking longer periods of time to teach younger kids something that they could most likely learn quicker in a shorter period once they are a bit older. I’m “starting homeschool” with my almost 4 year old but wonder if I should wait so Cypriots to hear your thoughts on the ages. Thank you for sharing and being such a joy!

Oh goodness!! We’ve been having the same sicknesses back to back. But we no longer fear the stomach bug thanks to charcoal and oregano oil!
@meghanbeichter719 Жыл бұрын
How do those help, how do you uses them. Would love to know tips.
@evagardner6013 Жыл бұрын
@@meghanbeichter719 so we always do charcoal if we’ve had a baby in nursery, been at a birthday party, ect. Just mix it and water and let the kids drink it (I take capsule). Hopefully it absorbs anything we might’ve caught. But if we’re exposed to the stomach bug you can take both as long as you separate them by a couple of hours. For example, someone starts throwing up, everyone takes a dose of charcoal, including the sickie (sometimes a double dose). An hour and a half later we all take oregano oil. For kids I do 3 drops in a little medicine cup with water. It’s SPICY so I let them chase it with honey. For adults we do 8 drops oregano oil. I use Vitacost brand. The oregano oil is potent so make sure everyone is on a good probiotic, and charcoal can sometimes cause constipation. I give charcoal to my toddlers but not oregano oil. We have had this combo stop the stomach bug in its tracks multiple times! I also had rancid meat (thanks to my Covid nose I couldn’t smell it). I I never got sick with this protocol. It’s the best!! We’ve been known to do it for colds and flu as well.
@evagardner6013 Жыл бұрын

I think every family has the equivalent of "the great flu disaster of '09" or whatever. Our family's current number 1 worst sickness event was the one that caused vomiting and diarrhea that lasted 3 days. Grand pa was sick. We (mom and dad) were sick. Son was sick (2). The highlight was me throwing up and having diarrhea in 1 bathroom, grandpa in a different bathroom and dad throwing up in bathroom 3, with our son in the tub wearing his dried up throw up from when he was sleeping before we discovered it and crying because dad throwing up was scaring him. And, I think objectively, we've all been more sick since then. But that's our number 1 because that second night everyone was really sick all at the same time. My best friend has 3 kids in school. Her whole family is constantly sick. But theirs is the great flight disaster. She was pregnant, and has the older 2 flying transcontinental with her. Husband had work and would be 2 days behind them. She was having pregnancy nausea, and the oldest kid was throwing up, and the youngest was having diarrhea. On a 10 hour flight. None of them looked or felt sick until 5 hours in. She said she simultaneously felt so guilty her group kept hogging the bathroom, and dreading going back to their seats because it meant rushing everyone out of their seat belts and back into the bathroom at the next emergency. And her kids were young enough that was not an activity that could be done quickly. They went through all the spare clothes in the diaper bag carry on, and had 1 diaper left by the time the plane landed. She was so afraid they wouldn't make it in time and she'd have a kid or 2 in soiled clothes and no diaper and have to explain it to the flight attendants. The bright side of these family sickness get togethers is regular life feels glorious and easy for a couple days in comparison 😂
