A similar story happened to me. I was once given a rainbow sock monkey and I had it for 5 yrs. Age 0-5. I took it everywhere with me. It was always by my side. I too have a piece of cloth that has the same story as your Deadmou5 hat, my piece of cloth, my grandmother bought 12 years ago and I’ve been using it everyday for 12 years, right up 10 years after that, I spotted a few tiny holes then after that I found a giant hole, I was devastated, I tried looking for another one but to no avail, there was no trace of it, my grandmother had no memory of where she bought it, I tried google images but in vain.
